Beware of seller: goshoxgo

Paid for a golf shaft (GD AD-DI) through paypal invoice but package was sent to a different address. Seller has yet to rectify issue.

In the process of disputing transaction with Paypal.

Please clarify different address.  Different address than what was included on your PayPal account or you requested a different address to be shipped to than what is listed on your PayPal account?

Maybe @goshoxgocould clarify as well?

I was wondering the exact same thing...

Did the seller send the package to the wrong address? To me this would be the seller's fault and he should immediately refund the buyer.

or

Did the buyer request the package be sent to the wrong address or a different address than the one associated with his PayPal account? This would be the buyer's fault. Although any seller should know that you shouldn't ship anything to an address that isn't PayPal verified.

Agree.

But have we lost all ability to communicate as a society.  Whenever I have sold items through a forum site, I always confirm with the buyer via an email or text the address the item is shipped to. I’m not taking the address on PayPal as fact.

Package was shipped on the 23rd USPS (3 business days ago). Package intercept requested. Will handle the dispute through PayPal as per their guidelines.

btw buyer paid on a Saturday 11/20 and I shipped on Tuesday 11/23. Not an unreasonable turnaround.

Please explain the incorrect shipping address. No point of sending it to a different address other than what was in  Paypal.

Let’s not even go here.

if youre up front with everything I dont have to follow up if you sent it or not.

I paid you in the 20th. Asked for an update on the 22nd and on the 23rd to which you answered you were busy with work and haven’t sent it. Understandable. But then on the 26th, I dm’d you again for an update to which you replied 4 hours after with a tracking number.

I can post screenshots of our DM conversation to show that I have been patient with you.

For you to send the item to an incorrect address and act cool about it. That smells a scam to me.

Different address to whats in my paypal account.

and i never requested it sent to a different address other than what is registered. Its for my protection and the seller’s.

Was it already delivered?  Seems unlikely going on my recent experience with the United States Pathetic Service!!

I think making a mistake of sending to a wrong address (for whatever reason it might have been) is technically not a scam, but rather a costly mistake. Obviously, you have not received the package, PayPal is good about handling it (at least in my experience, albeit it takes a bit of time), seller has admitted as such and is in the process of trying to figure out how to handle it with PayPal, I dont really understand what you are so upset about.

It would be one thing if the seller ghosts you, but if hes trying to rectify the situation, then maybe wait a bit before you accuse someone of SCAM, before giving them a benefit of the doubt of honest mistake. Just my opinion of course.

Then they should be able to tell you the address.  Call the office of delivery and have them ask the carrier.  In my 31 years as a carrier I delivered very few LONG thin boxes.

I really dont see the point of this since I didnt make this error. As far as I know the item was not delivered to me and was sent elsewhere.

My whole point of me posting this is to alert members here of a “possible” scam. I could have kept quiet but I think its my obligation to let members know that this may happen to them. Take it for what it is or not take anything at all.

To be clear, seller hasnt given an updated tracking info with the correct address. If seller gave me the wrong tracking number he could have given me the correct one right away. Also, paypal gives straight forward info about the buyer’s address. Paypal also asks you to supply the tracking info in order to for the funds to be released asap. If the seller was a PGA Superstore on which he sells items in volume then a mistake/error is understandable. I dont think the seller is selling golf items by volume to create a issue like this.

To be clear I asked you to verify your address so I could pull it (tracking) off the receipt and verify if there was a mistake and fix it. You never did so and began hurling unfounded accusations. Before I was able to do get you the right tracking and or figure out why the package was sent to the wrong person, you opened a dispute with paypal and started this thread. You chose to turn an easily rectified situation into a big drama filled nightmare. Like killing a gnat with a sledgehammer. As such it was easier to refund you the $$$ work with usps to get my shaft back and move on with my life.

You did the right thing. I  am sorry that the seller felt like dragging you through the mud on this one. I  have had packages delivered to the wrong address ( both sending and receiving ), and though you have to jump through a few hoops to straighten things out, it eventually gets resolved somehow. I  am thinking the buyer got a little nervous, and overreacted instead of trying to work with you to sort it out.

How did the seller get the  “wrong address” that he shipped to? I’m curious and don’t believe its been explained.

I had a situation where the buyer PM’d me a different shipping address than what was on the PP transaction receipt (verified address) so I asked which address he wanted me to use. Turned out to be a good thing I asked because the verified address was a business address and the buyer no longer worked there.
