I really like the course. Less than half of the field broke par. Winning score of less than 20 under is a rarity in non-majors these days.

The course played soft....imagine the greens when they are CONCRETE.

Hit a great shot to the pin and it gets rejected and into a depression with a tight lie.

Nelly hit a GREAT 2nd approach FW into a par 5....looked nice with trajectory too.....landed to 20 ft from the pin for an eagle...rolled of the green....ended up with a par.

Tina will invite 5000+ to Lydia's wedding.....people making less than $999,999/yr need not apply.🤣

And what of the "long-haired freaky people"?? 😂

I'm not sure because I've never worked in a mag store....but don't the owners get a credit when they send back unused mags???...I don't know.

We used to own a store where we sold magazines and newspapers and yes, you're correct.

Does such a thing even exist?  Isn't like the mythicl Yeti, Loch Ness Monster or Bigfoot?  Spoken about but never seen?   🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

You need to get out more and play golf with some Korean short skort & knee high women and then go after golf for some Korean BBQ, Soju and Hite Beer....just sayin.🤣

I played Meadow Gardens with a Samsonite rep.

I thought Costco "ate" the costs on the refunds....he told me any returned luggage at Costco...Costco would claim a credit back to Samsonite.

I think it was on WRX...some funny Costco stories.

At the end of the summer....many customers would return their A/C's.

Supposedly, after the Super Bowl...Costco would have many 55-70" falt screen TV's returned....LOL...WTH???

Another story...some guy saw a woman returning an empty bottle of red wine asking for a refund...she said the wine gave her a headache.

The CS rep called over a manager.

The manager gave her a refund for the wine and also gave her a pro-rated refund on her Costco membership and said....thanks for your past business...but see ya later.🤣

So would they give you credit for all the magazines that D. Kang vandalized?

Probably as they were not sold . . . but if the distributor wanted to be an (Word not allowed) then they could cause a stir.

What would you have done if I scribbled on 10 magazines with a Sharpie at your store?

If we saw you sign them, then probably call the cops.  But if we saw DK on camera signing them, then probably not . . . knowing my family, one or two would have wanted to push it off as a genuine autographed cover . . . even if they did not know who she was or if it was actually her!  😂

How's golf in NM?

Do you live in Albu?

I think all the Albu privates there have wait lists.

I looked....it's so cheap to be a member at the muni's there.

It's near impossible get tee times at our 5 muni's

They don't offer annual passes/memberships....if they did....they'd sell out in a hour.

No I don't live in Albuq....too much crime, Covid, & traffic there.  I live in the Ruidoso area....south central Sacramento mountains.

I've heard there's some crime in Albu....especially downtown cause it a relatively poor city.

NM as a state vs other US states has done well at containing Covid.

I can't believe how cheap some family memberships are at some Albu privates...though many are on waitlists....but isn't everything on waitlists nowadays...private or semi private courses.

I also can't believe that the Albu have annual passes and how cheap those passes are.

I think with the weather and cost of living...NM is a good retirement state that many overlook.

The thing that makes living in the US is the cost of medical insurance.

I believe you are retired from a defense contractor from TX?

NM has some beautiful areas especially northern New Mexico like Santa Fe and Taos. A friend of mine would take a summer job in Angel Fire just because it was so beautiful out there.  Southern new mexico is different, beautifully desolate comes to mind. You can drive for hours and hours and not see another person.

I've heard Santa Fe is nice but more expensive real estate vs. Albu.

I also heard the town of Taos is nothing too special???.... except for the skiing.

Taos is suffering ....minimal snow this year.

FWIW...Dennis Hopkins is interred in Taos.

I thought the Trinity Site was in southern NM...away from everything...I just did a Google...I can't believe how close it is to Santa Fe.

Pinion Hill GC is supposedly to be a really nice course in Farmington.

Los Alamos is close to Santa Fe.  The Trinity site is not close.  It is south of Alamogordo on White Sands Missile Range.  I have been there when we were doing tests at HELSTF and NOP.

My bad.....when I did a Google, quickly glanced and read in error.

Yes....Los Alamos where the bomb was developed....and Trinity Site quite south of Albu.

So you're retired from the military and/or govn't?

Based on social media. It looks like Gaby is permanently no longer working with Alvaro Prada and now has Celine B’s former caddie on the bag. She would occasionally have a different looper on the bag  at some events but she had Alvaro on there forever. It’s too bad they made a nice pair. Alvaro has some sort of aspirations to play professionally but one would think if that was a realistic option, why wait so long?

Also looks like he and Luna Sobron are no longer together. Ch-ch-changes.

Congrats to DK. She was overdue for a win, finished the season strongly last year as well. Surprised Nelly collapsed she didn't look too comfortable wearing a bubble jacket (??) hitting drivers not playing with Annika on a Sunday.

Congrats to Mirim Lee for not shooting +40 either and closing strong with a 73...

Do caddies get independent sponsorship on their own ? Why was Gaby's caddie rocking the KB financial sponsorship akin to Inbee, Dumbo et others whereas Gaby is not sponsored by them?

Also where can I buy one of these hats in the US? I asked my Korean friend he sarcastically said "go to the website.."

Looks like Annika lost in the playoff. As much as the masses disliked the celebrity portion of the tournament, I thought the top celebs played well. 'Would have been nice to see the playoff. Certainly had to be better than the AmEx.

Maybe this has been asked already but I don't want to go through all 9 pages.

But what was with the blaring music that was blasting away from somewhere such that you could hear it when the broadcast would be showing the 18th green??? At least while I was watching the announcers didn't mention it. But I've never heard such a thing while watching a tournament.

This is a familiar topic here at WRX:

How would a scratch golfer fare against LPGA pros? Now we know: not well.

"But let’s break it down further. Derek Lowe, a retired pitcher who plays to an index of 0.2, played well all week and earned a spot in a playoff against all-time great Annika Sorenstam. His scores for the week: 76-72-75-72 and a very respectable total of seven over par. That still would have left him 23 strokes off Kang’s pace of 68-67-69-68."

Correct,  for example:

Shota's cap sponsor: Takami (since acquired by L'Oreal) -- dun ask me why I know haha... (I actually love consumer staples stocks since that's my "bread and butter")

Hideki's cap has Srixon and his arm sleeves/shirt has  Lipovitan (in japanese), ANA, Lexus etc

Google Ruidoso.....snow skiing, golf, TREES, all at about 7000' altitude.  It's a beautiful little town. Fulltime population is about 10,000 or so, with summer months at around 30,000.   My house is at 7200' , we have very low humidity, 4 seasons, but nothing extreme.  I have skied & played golf on the same day many times.  This year, like everywhere in the SW, we need snow/rain badly.  Visitors from Texas & AZ flock here in the summer months to escape the extreme heat.

Somewhere in another thread, someone mentioned that the loops only make $50-$100/week to wear a logo'd hat

If you want a hat, your gonna have to attend an event and ask/BEG a pro for a hat...likely best to ask after rd 4.....and you likely need to watch them for a few rds for them to notice you and do you a favor.

Or if you have a young child...ask them to do your BEGGING for you...the LPGA pros like kids.🤣
