I was waiting for this response from you😁

TBF, whilst no doubt  @18majors was being authentic in his comment, I suspect fishing for a bite from you might have been an enjoyable subplot😉

Just saying🤣

Yes, I always try to fish for bites from you or some other people; but @KBong, not so much.

My life is sweet, because I avoid reading his stale comments repeated over and over for thousands times.

Nelly was throwing darts and hitting bombs on first 3 rounds..  Great effortless swing..  I would not be surprised, if she wins several tournaments this year.

I wonder what changed on the final round?

Apparently she got cold and could never warm up.  Her swing looked stiff and she wasn't turning well early on for sure.  She was wearing multiple jackets at times.  I'm thinking she might want to bulk up a bit if for no other reason than to stay warmer in cold weather.

It was 11*C yesterday....IMO....it's not that cold....everyone had to play in those conditions.

A 51 year old woman who does not play that often...played ok in those conditions while embarrassing the guys who could hit their drives 50-60 yards past her....a 135 ball speed is impressive to tame a 6600 yd course...I think Annika shot +6 over 4 rds.

Some of the male celebs play a ton of golf.

Nelly you're a pro...ya got to learn to adapt.

And why would she not take the jacket off to hit the ball...Hello McFly.

How can one expect to win when ya look like this trying to swing a club.

BTW....attention seeking Kang can't make anymore excuses why she can't win when it's not warm.

Both her irons and putter cooled off. 33 putts in the final round and only 12 greens. She hit 12 greens in the opening round, but only had 28 putts.

How many times has Annika played her home course?

I imagine 100's of times....maybe not 18 always.

But unless she's lying...she hasn't play much golf and ya lose your touch and feel...especially in the short game.

She seems to continue to have a bulging disc issue in the neck and the family had Covid during Xmas.

But yes...she did have a home course advantage....same with Lydia

As a fat guy who lives in subarctic Canada, having extra weight on does not keep you warmer. It might work for seals, whales and polar bears but not people😁

I am sure there is a limit to how much it helps.  Nelly is very thin for her height.  Adding some mass would help with both stability and strength.  She also needs to ditch the visor.  Most body heat is lost through the head.  Ball cap would be better and a ski hat would be best.

I think Nelly's body shape is just fine, in fact very nice indeed. Quite close to Sandra Gal who is my all-time fave.

In fact, I just watched a video of Sandra talking about her struggle to shake off Lyme Disease. Such a nice person.

https://www.lpga.com/news/2021/gal-takes-leave

But agree on the woolly hat. I wear one indoors during the day in winter - saves turning the heating up a degree or two.

I agree that Nelly needs to hit up KFC more.

If anything Nelly needs to shrink.🤣

There's a WRX guy...kinda a pro handicapper....the below is not verbatim.

He said the ideal LPGA height was 5'6"-5'7".

In the last 2 decades...the truly great LPGA pros are this height.

Annika, Webb, Pak, Ochoa, Inbee, Kerr, Stacy, Old Lydia and now maybe JYK can join this group in 10-15 years.

Yes....some could say...it's all numbers...as 5'6"-5'7" is maybe the avg. and majority LPGA height.

One would think a taller gal should generate more width and therefore more speed....which they can...therefore their height would be such a distance advantage and make them great because hitting a shorter approach shot is always an advantage......but it didn't necessarily result in great outcomes.

He said that tall women tend to be a bit disconnected and their short game suffered.

Yes....tall players like Jessica, Lexi, Wie, Anna N, Sandra have won...some more than others and some with majors...but none are in the above great players category above in recent decades.

Yes, Beth Daniel was a very good pro in her day...but the competition was a great.

Let's see over the next 10-15 years....assuming she plays that long .....to see if Nelly can break the mold can become a member of the 5'6"-5'7" Club.

I was never a Sandra fan...but @bravedave said in 2013 we should fanboy at the Portland event....I said ok....I'll go watch especially considering it was his turn to buy the beers at the next kiosk.

I have to admit....after watching her play and how friendly she was to the gallery...I became a fan.

It's a shame she's suffering from Lyme's disease.

I agree with KBong that 11C is not that cold. I am wearing a thin golf shirt only at that temperature. I might wear additional layers for 1-2 holes until I warm up. Of course, it is wind dependent as well. But Nelly was fully out of sorts and definitely feeling uncomfortably cold. Psychological, or an issue?

cripes 11c is easily shorts weather. Maybe a sweater vest over a polo but it’s borderline

I'd venture to say both.  As I understand it, she was born and raised in Florida and as such, it is hard to shake the chills when you are not used to it . . . nor have found a way to layer and play comfortably.

I remember listening to Tom Watson discuss how he became a "pretty decent" links player ... he said that he hated the links and playing in the Open early on . . . he said it started changing after one year as he went with Sandy Tatum to Scotland for a golf trip/holiday of sorts, and he said that Sandy's advice to him was that if he wants to compete better, he needs to embrace Scotland and all that the links golf has to offer . . .   Tom said he took it to heart, embraced it, and that is when his fortunes on the links changed.

I'm sure you'd also pack more layers....and take them off to hit a shot...cause you'd have a sherpa....holding or carrying all the clothes for you while hitting a ball.

It's so stupid that Nelly would continue to wear that puffy jacket to hit a ball and chip & putt with it on....TAKE IT OFF when making a stroke.

Hello McFly...layer....and wear the jacket while walking or standing around...that's why you have Jason to be your SERVANT...use him.

Ya likely gave him $6300 (7% top 10) + weekly per diem...make him work for his money.

Ya know when you venture to FLA in Jan and it's 50*F and ya see a bunch of people walking around you know it's a bunch of Canadian snowbirds trying to get a tan.

Heck...I see guys walking around in shorts here in Van City when it's 4-7*C.

Just askin for a friend....did you do something bad and the CRA exiled you to Labrador.🤣

Born and raised but moving to NS is 1-3 years, too much winter here.

True story. Went to Myrtle ack in 2008 or 09 in March. Got there a day or two after they had snow for the first time in a decade but was mostly melted when we arrived. Was at one of the Legends courses in a frost delay for morning tee time. It was 1 or 2C at the time and forecast for 15 or so. I didn't go all that way to wear pants in March so I had shorts on. A guy behind me said "You must be crazy to be wearing shorts when its this cold out". I turned around and there was a guy in his 60's with his oxygen tank beside him, tubes in the nostrils, smoking a cigar. I pointed at the tank and then cigar and asked him if I was the really crazy one.
