I’ve heard some folks observe that it’s the ‘Live’ impact sound from these Long Hitters = awe-inspiring!

Any insights please, from anybody else here who’s had the privilege to watch these LPGA gals in person?

I've seen Lexi putt 26 times....but it was over 12 holes.🤣

 

In 2012....I saw Lexi 3 jack...she started to smash her putter against her back...she was in near tears.

 

Yes...maybe the same hole??...in the same group??....Inbee also 3 jacked too...Inbee was only 7 ft away from me from the ropes....not one sign of frustration....the woman has ice in her veins.

 

Back in the old days...I used to smoke....I'd be lighting up a smoke often after a 3 jack.

As much as I always wanted to tomahawk my putter after a 3 jack.... I never have.

I never said Lydia didn't avg 260 on the 2 holes.

But I'm pretty confident with their higher SS that both could often be 30 yards past Lydia and also more fire power with their irons too...... that Ko beat them by 7 & 5 shots when Lydia could be hitting 2-4 clubs more into the longer par 4's & par 3's and par 5's.

 

EDIT...I just watched....#14...Nelly's fire power...410 yards...Nelly gap wedge as an approach shot.

She has gained some distance off the tee.  She has always believed that she was longer off the tee as well (last 18-24 mos.)   and as we all know, shorter irons into the greens.

Great to see 2 Canadians in the Top 10/11 and wow, Maude Aimee the White played a good round.  She has been capable of low rounds in the past, but for some reason, unable to sustain it over 4 rounds . . . we will see how she fares and whether she has managed to improve on that aspect of her game.

I'm not sure...who changes putters more...Lexi or Brooke.

Lexi didn't even touch the hole on #14 with a 6 ft birdie putt.

 

Now that Lexi is a Club Champion spokesperson (in a CC commercial)...would CC still charge Lexi $2000 for a putter that off the rack at PGA SS costs only $300?...just askin for a friend.🤣

About 4 years back I thought Hye Jin would WGR No. 1 by now, but she has just lurked around the fringes of superstardom ever since. Watching today, 4 years on, I see the same thing happening.

..Edit: Did Aditi get any coverage/ airtime today? Subsequently realised that Aditi’s 33 putts in R1= nowhere near as impressive as Danielle Kang’s 24 putts! (Can that stat be correct!?)

I followed Bianca, A Lim, and Maria for a few holes at the Marathon last season, and Lexi at the KPMG a few years back. Yes, I'd say there's a distinct difference in the sound. They really get the ball out there.

Celine Boutier is easily one of the most consistent player since 2019; she fired -5, low round of the morning wave.

 

It isn't over yet but Lydia had the best first two rounds in her recent record; she's -11 and tentatively leading by four.  Nelly, on the other hand has been lethargic since the final round last week; she's on pace to lose her No. 1 ranking.

 

Yealimi Noh stumbled to +9 for the first 26 holes and was racing for DFL.  But all is fine; she shot -3 in her last ten holes.  She'll miss the cut but it gives her two more days to sort through her issues.

Course must be playing tough, although Celine did manage to light it up. Lydia was treading water for the first half of her round. Doesn't seem like she's going to fall off the leaderboard.

We watched Nelly hit driver and fairway shots 2 years ago at the Gainbridge tournament and her shots sounded like nobody else’s.
