How Many Rounds In Year?

Only 53 rounds this year. Recovering from shoulder surgery, and had a heat related medical situation in the summer. Will soon be traveling for Christmas, and the long range forecast doesn’t look good. A very frustrating year. Our course will be closed from March-December for renovations next year, so not sure what to expect.

I usually play twice a week so just over 100 rounds per year.  Last year I was marred with injuries and had to travel quite a bit for my job so I got in 75 rounds.  I'd love to play 3-4x a year, however, my busy schedule doesn't allow me to.  Maybe after I retire and save my pennies I can do so.

I guess on a golf forum I shouldn’t be surprised to read people playing well over 100 rounds per year. I just don’t know how you do it if you’re working and have a family. I’m retired, my kids are grown and I live in an area where golf can be enjoyed year-round. But I still only average around 50 rounds per year. I do, however, hit into a net in my backyard with a launch monitor multiple days per week, weather permitting. Prior to retiring and when the kids were at home, I was lucky to play 25 times, much of which was played when on business travel.

115 rounds logged this year and looking to push it to at least 150 - 175 next year.

I used to play well over 100 rounds of golf. Once I had kids it went down. Forst year of COVID it jumped back up to 50+ but then dwindled. I would guess 20 rounds

Outdoors (Minnesota here) about 80 rounds this year. 

 

Simulator during the winter about 30 rounds....

Got in 26 or 27 many of them nine holes. Last 9 Dec. 26. Not bad considering it’s NE Ohio and I had some serious health issues that wiped out June/July. That’s about average for me the last 7 or 8 years. I frequently hit the range too so I’m good with it.

145 rounds this year.  Up from 142 last year!

Final round of the year today. Surgery back in late March put me on the sideline for a 5 weeks, so it was a "light" year with 219 rounds on 219 different courses in 23 states and two provinces. 'Added 206 new courses to my list, bringing the total to 1165.

 

Hopefully no unplanned visits to the OR in 2024. Should be able to play 230+ rounds if the body holds up.
