Apparently when they said April release date they meant April 30th at 11:59pm.

 

Will honestly be surprised if it's released by then.  Uneekor just keeps pushing back the release date.  Just tells me their test trials in Korea aren't going as smoothly as they had hoped OR their manufacturing side has had extensive delays.

Exactly what I was thinking, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out if there is a delay in shipping the product it's because of some sort of an issue.

Too funny...

 

So I'm wondering how well this will sell.  Lot of people are cutting back on spending right now.  Plus the lack of reviews/feedback make being one of the first to buy it a rather big gamble when you add in the cost of the software, computer to run it and whole hitting bay setup.

 

Unless they offer a big discount I'm going to sit it out and let some other people be the guinea pigs.

Not much better than the gc3 all said and done. The subscription charge to use 3rd party software killed it for me.

 

I was 60/40 on getting it previously.

Yup, not paying anyone anything to use 3rd party software.  These companies are so lost these days, there is a potential huge recession lurking, but yet they all wanna charge so much.

The PC requirements include : integrated Ethernet port.

Absolutely agree.  You know they are already turning a healthy profit selling the $4500 unit, they don't need to bend us over annually on top of that.

 

Naturally these will sell like hotcakes during the "honeymoon" phase of the new release but as these recession worries continue to grow, sales of these will tank.

I have to say, the club impact video is really impressive and it looks like they paid a LOT of attention to putting with the new putting mode. The $200 subscription REALLY turns me off, however. It looks like this unit, if you pay the $2,000 is fully unlocked forever. Is it worth $6,500?  With the club impact video and no subscription, it could be the best deal in LM and Sims.

If this had face angle and face to path, I'd be all over it. Not having that is definitely a bummer and IMO doesn't make this stand out too much from the rest.

 

The impact video is pretty darn cool, tho 👍

Optishot ballflight and Skytrak+ are both simulators to consider if in the market.

 

All these $3k-$6.5k simulators hitting the market right before a potential recession is going to make it a very interesting marketplace in the next 1-2 years.  Probably why so many of them want to get you in an ongoing subscription.

I don't think Uneekor will be unique in requiring a subscription fee for 3rd party integration. I understand that GSPro is currently working on becoming "officially supported" by Foresight and I would be shocked if there is no additional fee from Foresight to connect (speically given then amount of money they have poured in developing FSXplay). 

 

Don't be surprised if they use the Uneekor 3rd party fee as a benchmark for doing the self same thing.

I wonder if that means I should buy one of the $3K BLP now before they do that. I don't think they can really do that retroactively.

I think for the BLP folks it might just change to requiring the Gold subscription to link to 3rd party software (i.e. the Basic subscription with GSpro option will get eliminated).

If you do decide to get the BLP, read one of the latest posts on the main BLP forum. There’s a way to get a one time 20% coupon code you can use towards the $3K price of the BLP.

The fact that BLM already dropped their price from $3.5k to $3k AND is now offering 20% off that just shows the market is heating up.  Honestly wouldn't be surprised if Uneekor offers a discount later this year or early next year.  Their main goal is subscription sales.

Supposedly the 20% off thing has been available for quite a while, it just wasn't public knowledge.

I have an original Skytrak and for past couple months been thinking about upgrading to something that provided more data points as I continue to tinker with my swing and club set up. Primary use will still be inside in my garage, with some sim golf so camera based system would work best for my needs, BLP was a front runner, but was also looking at Skytrak+ as my Skytrak has been a great device. I always liked the Uneekor QED and EyeXO but my garage set up makes an overhead unit set up tough so hadn't really considered Uneekor as an option until I saw the EyeMini.

 

After many hours of back and forth on the Bushnell and Uneekor website, watching youtube, decided to take the plunge and ordered EyeMini. Overall think the BLP is a great unit, and had the EyeMini not had some of the functionality mentioned below, would have been happy with the BLP. Why I chose the EyeMini over BLP

• Camera that shows video of Impact. My daughter is starting to get into golf and thought this feature will be useful to help her understand how the club is coming through to hit the ball at impact. Also useful to me as I make adjustments.
• Official support for GSPro. I know that Foresight/GSPro are working on official integration, but don't know when that will happen and how that will affect the cost of the yearly subscription tiers.
• All Data Points unlocked with purchase without some hidden behind a subscription.

Ordered the unit on 6/20, by EOD 6/20 had shipping confirmation and delivery date of 6/21 (Today). Unit arrived about an hour ago, so have not had a chance to set up yet and test, but will be doing so later. Will update this thread later after getting the unit set up. Happy to answer any questions.

Credit the fast shipping on the fact that very few people ordered one after they disappointed nearly everyone by charging to use 3rd party software.
