Yes only through custom PLD as far as I know. Also not sure how many of these are left since I got a different cover on my first one which I wasn't that pleased with.

 

Also thanks just need the weather to change here.

I submitted payment for my putter (Prime Tyne 4)yesterday and asked about this headcover style and my fitter said they no longer make that headcover 😞. Ping offers these headcovers for the current PLD custom program:

• PLD Gator Mallet Putter Cover - PING
• PLD Tour Topo Mallet Putter Cover - PING

I also asked about this PLD Limited USA Mallet Putter Cover, which is in the PLD shop, but it isn't offered with the custom program.

I luckily found the black one for mallets (same style as @MattM97's) on eBay this morning and bought it.

Update: Reached out to Alex this morning to ask a few questions about the static loft and wanted to get his input. Got some great info back and we're going to remain at 2.5 loft for the build. He also sent over a sneak peek:

 

 

They are moving super quick so maybe I lucked out with my timeframe. Engravings are perfect! Beyond excited to see the patina finish and paint fill bring it to life!

Your Anser 30 looks great! Lefty delays are real..... I paid Dec 21, and just got an update today that Ping is still waiting for the LH Anser 30 heads to be made.  They are on order form the machine shop, but they are backed up with orders right now.  The machine shop still hasn't provided Ping Canada with an eta yet. Even with the holiday shutdown I'm going on week 7 which is fine since I was quoted 6-8 weeks. But seems as if it will more likely be 10-12.

Thanks man, I definitely got lucky as they had 1 of the exact heads I was looking for left in stock and I guess they went ahead and started on it for me. No updates so far this week, I reached out to Alex before lunch about a grip change if it was an option and haven't heard back. They usually send an update when you reach out. For 1 week already having my head fully engraved, and then I assume a day or two for the patina finishing, day or two for paint fill, day for building, etc. I assume i'm looking at about 3-4 weeks even though they also quoted me 6-8. Who knows, mine may take that long too. As long as I can make some birdies with it by the time summer rolls around, that's fine with me!

This year I'm switching to a putter with 0 offset. It makes putting really simple IMO. My putter is set up quite similar.

I aim the putter much better with no offset but struggle framing the ball with center shaft. Not many options out there besides custom m, seemore, or edel

Thoughts on this? Obviously not fully custom like the PLD custom program, but interesting to see!

If you fit into or want one of the stock options with a different alignment then it's great.

 

If you want something custom and unique or not one of the stock models offered then custom is still the way to go.

The add on’s to the PLD lineup is the “poor man's” custom. By no means a slight but just a unique option to a stock line. If a stock putter fits, it’s a great option to save some $$$ for a off the rack “custom”
