5. Why do you want to review a Cleveland Launcher XL Halo Hy-Wood? I tend to do really well with clubs in this sort of 41.5"-42" range. I'm looking for something that'll give me a similar distance but is a little more hybrid-like than my G425 Max 5 wood, because I find hybrids a lot more versatile out of the rough and I don't have one in the bag right now. I had the Apex UW in the bag for a while, but its trajectory was too low and distance-wise it was approaching my 3 wood. I'm thinking the Hy-Wood might be the "not too hot, not too cold, just right" sort of in-between option that checks all the boxes. I'd like to find out!

5. Why do you want to review a Cleveland Launcher XL Halo Hy-Wood? I have had mixed results with 3 woods for many years. I have always gamed a 19ish degree hybrid with much greater success. Over the last few years, I am more likely to not even have a 3 wood in the bag. I recently purchased a Callaway Apex UW 19 degree in an attempt to bridge the gap a little better between my hybrid and driver. I have had mixed results with it and it currently has not earned a spot in the bag. I have also been looking into the Cleveland Launcher XL Halo Hy-Wood and I would love to see how it compares to my 3 wood, 19 degree hybrid, and 19 degree Apex UW.

Not applying, but excited to see more people in this club. It is so good. I'm a slower swinger, and have trouble elevating even 5 woods. 3 hybrids are also usually too low. With the Hy-wood it almost goes too high sometimes (on fluffy lies, on slight inclines, etc.). I never have this problem. Easy, easy, to hit. I hit it higher than my heavenwood and a lot further. For me, it goes farther than my 4 and 5 wood even on my good fairway shots.

And for someone who struggles at that end of the bag and really struggles with the woods, this is exactly the type of club I’ve been looking for. I just hope it is not the “too good to be true”. Also I play at least 1 sometimes 2-3 times a week and I use my buddies golf range several times a week, both mats and grass.
