Will Taylormade release a low spin ball in 2023?

Forgive me if I missed out on rumors.  Of course titleist has the left dash and callaway released a chrome soft ls a couple of years ago, I wonder if tm will release something similar. Especially with the left dash in high demand and impossible to buy. Would anyone consider playing a low spin ball from TM?

Wow it looks like you're right.  The Titleist website had plenty in stock but it looks like they ran out.  They are also rather tough to obtain from stores as well.  I have a box of 2022 TP5x and they are pretty low spin but not as good/low spin as the 2019 version.  I would recommend the CSX LS as an alternative to the left dash.

I always found the tp5x to be low spin. It went super long off the tee but I could never get it to stop on a green.

I believe the tour response is a high spin ball similar to how the project a was but I could be wrong

Tour response is actually a really low spin ball that plays softer. Take a look at the golf spy website's golf ball test.

I'd call it a high launching version of the AVX or a soft version of the left dash prov1x.

Yeah a dozen of the left dash go for about 150$ on eBay

Thanks for the info. I do like playing the abc. I’ll look at the test for sure. I was more so talking about a harder feeling low launch tour ball.

I’m a fan of the csx ls for sure. I have a bunch of old 5x’s and they always seemed to launch really high

Hitting new Tour Response now.  Seeing some sub 1000rpm with driver (Rogue LS, with Ventus Blue).  Once in my lifetime it may be too low spin.  On Quad GC system off of tee.

I'm shocked.

Golf Tech (And  hence Sales) are about innovation, evolution and grabbing the consumers interest. Are they not even concerned competitors new Tech will outsell / appeal / have better shelf presence than what are now going to be older Models from TM ? I'm sure it won't break them. But as Golf equipment is their business - i wouldn't think staying static is going to make them either.

Who knows. In tough times; maybe a 3-year product cycle will catch on. Having been 2 years ref ball renewal from TM for as long as i can remember........

On todays NLU podcast they talked about how Rory told TM he couldn’t get the new TP5X to work. It was very unpredictable and he was going to look for something else. They gave him some 19 model TP5X and it was night/day for him. He said its what turned his season around.

Yeah I heard that as well. If they bring back something close to or an exact replica of the '19 ball, I'll be in heaven.

Interesting to hear that from NLU, since there have been multiple recent spottings of Rory playing with a black numbered TM ball (at least over the past few months going back to the Tour championship). In the forum, we have inferred that he is playing the TP5, even though TM still publicly claims he is in the TP5x. I suppose he could also be playing a custom '19 TP5x, but it seems unlikely.

That aside, I have also moved on from the '21 TP5x. I had some good moments with it, but ultimately prefer the softer feel of the Pro V1 and Snell Black, with no noticeable trade-off in performance.

Are you talking about the current TP5x or the 2023 version coming out next year?  Also, I thought he was using the TP5.
