Nice one. Pushing it back even further.

That’s about as far back as I know first hand but I’m sure there are older ones!

One of my all time favorites right there.

Great line of clubs! I played the pro for most of my highschool playing days. Actually, won a 36 hole tournament my very first time hitting them and it was my first ever school tournament. My coach wasn’t happy at first when I showed up with clubs I’d never hit!

Toe is not as round 😉

Well, that's just how they are achieving the increased distance and tightened dispersion that this "new" design will achieve. Engineers are working around the clock, I am sure.

Interesting to hear everyone's opinions on a new blade design. Hard to really push the envelope of progress with a "true blade", so I don't think we can be too offended when a company does something relatively unique. If they came out with something nearly identical to the original Z Forged, we'd complain that it's just a recycled design to make money.

That being said, these look awesome from address. Perfect blend of visual appeal without being too intimidating.

I mean pushing progress is not the point of a blade... But with how good manufacturers are getting at hiding tungsten and foam into smaller looking packages; they may not be around in "true" form much longer.

I agree, but I know if they did not change much from the last Z Forged people would complain about that too.

I think we are moving away from that for sure, and probably with good reason. Irons in an i59 looking package that can mimic the performance of a blade (low launch, high spin) with added forgiveness will likely become more the norm.

Disagree…. A one piece true forging will ALWAYS have its place.

In our hearts... yes... in reality... I think materials will be good enough in the next 5-10 years, that you won't see many, if any, traditional one piece forgings anymore... either that or the product lifecycles will get ridiculously long.

If OEMs can completely mimic them with added performance benefits, I don't see the financial incentive for them to sell them anymore. Maybe they can't get there, but I think they keep creeping closer and closer each year.

Again l, disagree. Same materials we had 20 years ago. Its been around over a century and isnt going anywhere. If a company is dumb enough to not offer one, many will just find a brand that will. The life cylces are getting longer but thats just due to companies wising up to the marketshare for a full set is rather small 1-2%

But from an 8 iron (~35*) through wedges, there isnt much tech can do. This has been proven time and time again. And for that reason, solid one piece forgings will always be a part of sets, even the most “techy” irons sets of today still utilize them in short irons.

These look terrible, looks just like an old t-zoid. Next thing you know fanny packs and pit viper sunglasses will be back in style.

Hate to tell ya, but both of those have been in style this summer 😅

I agree though, i'm not the biggest fan of these compared to the OG Z-Forged but if they truly perform better then I'll have to at least demo them.

I think the emergence and growing popularity of the Glide wedges and even set gap wedges with the i210 on tour speak to a change in that dynamic.

I gamed T-zoid Trues in 1997 and they were too much club for my game then - thinking about making the same mistake with these. 😍

I recently hit the current Z Forged and was surprised how easy they were to hit.  Not as demanding as other blades.  Giving serious thought to giving them a go.  I'm sure they will be discounted soon.
