New Lab Golf Link.1 Putter - 1st Run

New Lab Golf putter called the Link.1 putter is available on their website and is their take on the Anser style putter but with the lie angle balancing.  Anyone ordering one of the 1st run?  $750 is a big pill to swallow.  😬

I wonder if that price is for the first run 1-500 only.  And then a different price lower once they get into standard production.  Looks like they are offering the ACCRA shaft for free instead of their usual upcharge.

Looks like LABGolf website got hammered this morning.

 

Finally saw the new putter pictures. Very nice.

 

But, at the back of my mind, how does this new putter differ from the B2 aside from a different body shape? The top down look still looks like a center shafted blade putter.  I am not seeing an "Anser like" here. My 2c

Looks like a lot more heel/toe weighting than the Blad putter so maybe more forgiving on mishits.

Looks like it's just the Anser head style and not necessarily an Anser putter with it's straight plumber or rincon necks. Ok, I kinda get the drift now

Hmm.   I would bet money and lay odds that this putter would torque less than a SeeMore blade.

Seemore putters aren't lie angle balanced. Some models are closer than most putters but they don't stay square like lab putters do.

I like that a lot. That price is a bit high for me. When it hits the standard production, or the used market, I might pick one up. I really liked the DF1, but I could just not get past the shape. The Mezz shape looks a lot better, but the inability to pick up a ball is also a dealbreaker for me, given the cost I mean. The Link1 looks like maybe it can pick up a ball.

You rule out a putter by the ability to pick up a ball?  Don't you have to bend over to pick it out of the cup anyway or are you a "gimme" man?  🤑

I'm sure price will lower, and like you said the accra shaft is included and I think that's like $200 upcharge usually

I buckled as well and ordered one to give to my wife for Christmas (she currently gaming a Mezz.1). Does anyone know what the lead time is on these? Kind of worried the putter won't make it here before Christmas.

bit of forced perspective in that photo, also the neck looks different on the website shot vs that instagram one, website shot the bottom of the neck looks slimmed down, instagram one looks bulbous right?

I'd have a hard time looking down at that.  Even if it sunk putts🤣

But it'd have to be a difference for me to throw that in the bag.

Yah, as long as it works I can deal with whatever 

but that just isn't something that would appeal to me.  

 

I'm sure those screws serve a big purpose, but it looks too frankenstein to me

I don't completely rule out a putter based on whether it will pick it up or not. BUT that is a bonus, and if I'm spending the premium money, I would hope it could also pick up a ball. I mean, there are so many choices of premium putters, you know.

It’s only a matter of time before I break down and get one.  I’m hoping to hold out until the regular production run but I keep looking at it.  My Mezz performs but the link looks so much better to my eye and I’ve always preferred blades.

I will be ordering one in January since I’m left handed and they will have the option to opt for a heavier head then. What shaft is everyone going with? I have a few stability tours that I love but considering trying the Accra or LA.

For those asking about size, its comparable to other anser style putters out there. Not egregiously small or large.

a touch. Its not an oversized blade though. Very similar to a newport or anser

They let me know that in January you will be able to order the heavy head version just like the mezz.
