got it in today, sunk 32 7-ft putts in a row on my mat (in batches of 4) until I finally left one short, not bad for the first time picking up a putter.  Feel is great off the face, right there with other high end stainless blades I've used.  Not getting the little micro pulls/pushes with this like I do with traditional blades, the L.A.B black magic is definitely working on this thing.  Not as obvious feeling as the Mezz but the end result is the same and I can already tell my distance control will be better with this

Aim line works well, I was a little nervous the hosel would be crowding it too much but it's not a issue.  Putter looks premium in person too

the hosel is definitely close but from address all the lines/dots are usable.  I went with the long bottom line, the hosel doesn't span more then the first ~15% of it and doesn't block any of it at address so plenty of line to use.

Darn it. I had to read this thread.

I was already set to pull the trigger on a Bettinardi Queen B6 (one of the most beautiful putters IMO) but the Link now has my attention. I've found much success with a center shafted blade and the Link has a very familiar/comfortable look at setup. The fact that the stock build is also my ideal lie angle is a plus. Does anyone know if the stock shaft has a .370" tip? I have an extra LAGP shaft that would work great in there.

Not sure about tip size but I don’t think you can just switch out a shaft the way you can with most other putters.  I think the weight and balance point would need to be identical.  @labgolf may be able to comment on this but I think that switching the shaft would effect the secret sauce…

Thanks. I knew they balanced the head for lie angle (and length?) I didn't think about shaft weight.

Putter is amazing!  I used it in my team play match after just a few hours on the putting green and couldn't have been happier.  Dropped a breaking 10' for birdie on the 1st hole to take the 1 up lead.  Never looked back and had 26 putts for the day.  I felt like it had some more "pop" off the face compared to the Mezz.  Where I normally drip it in the hole these putts were going in with just a little more uumph.  But so stable and solid.  Not to mention just looking down at it was great.  LAB hit a home run with this putter!!

Just a heads up that these are now showing up at PGA Superstore (some at least). I went by tonight to look at wedges and stopped by the putting green as I always do. Couldn’t believe it when I saw 4 of these sitting on the rack. I really, really like what they did with this putter. I spent probably 15 minutes with it. Felt very conventional unlike the Mezz and DF but could still feel the lack of torque and the stability at impact. It took every bit of my willpower to not walk out with it. I’m just putting too well with my Golo right now and I’m trying to be strong and stick with it. Stop by your local PGA Superstore, they may have one for you to try.

Oof, too bad the stock Link is only available at a 69 degree lie angle. It's hard to swallow an additional $90 to get the lie angle changed by two degrees.

What lie angle are you looking for? I have one at 67 that I will likely be parting with

Any updates on how this putter performs?  I am still waiting for mine to arrive.

Took mine out for its maiden voyage today.  I really like it so far. I didn’t make anything today but every putt was a good roll with no three putts.  It feels really good compared to the Mezz I was using.

The Link is a little bit longer and wider. Old Pro Platinum Newport and a Queen B12 on either side for comparison.

Thanks PNW.  Doesn’t look like it would require and adjustment period looks wise.

I am right handed, left eye dominant and tend to aim and see my line better with center shafted putters.

Thanks again,

Jeff

Yeah the size difference isn't huge and not really noticeable when standing over it. Still small visually when compared to mallets.

My wife loves it! I will say, however, that if you are coming to the LINK.1 from a DF 2.1, I would strongly consider getting the heavier head. The LINK.1 regular (which my wife has) feels lighter and more like the MEZZ.1 from weight perspective.

I was going to ask about that next! I play a Newport 2 right now. How is the head weight compared to a normal blade style putter?

Received mine yesterday and of course went straight from the box to the putting green. First three putts from 27' all inside the leather with no practice no nothing - the putter just felt right the minute I put  it in my hand. Continued my maiden voyage with the new putter and could not be more impressed. Must say I had my doubts about the "virtual " fitting as well as the upgrade to the LA shaft but the proof is in the feel and it just feels right and the results continue to impress.

Thanks LAB Golf - hope isn't on the way its here !!
