Did you use the previous version? How do they compare, if so. I want so much to like this ball, but I've found the previous version to be shorter for me off everything compared to other balls I typically use (Snell MTB Black / Callaway ERC Soft).

I actually find the Tour to be very much like the MTD Black. I think a bit more spin with wedges. Very nice trajectory window.

i tried the Tour S first

and found it very soft and lost distance with all clubs.

36 holes with one ball.  First time for everything.  This is the damage that remained.  5 bunker shots, no trees.  I think the bad one hits some rock though.  I had a shot that flew over a a pond house.  I thought it was in the pond for sure, but was sitting green side.  And there is rock beds on the edging of the bond.

I must say I’m intrigued. A guy I got paired with this morning gave me a Tour X to try against my Chrome Soft X for the last couple holes.

The Tour X was longer on both drives. The trajectory was perfect. Feel was great.

So I thought “these must not spin enough with irons.” Then I hit a PW that backed up 15 feet.

I’ll see what the numbers look like on my SkyTrak tonight. I don’t really care what they cost. I’ll play whatever is better, but cheaper would be a nice bonus.

Very interested on your sim #s, I got fitted into the CS X and although I really like it I played the Maxflis a few years ago and liked those as well. Wondering how the new balls stack up!

The numbers are very similar in my limited testing tonight. This is what I think…

Driver- Too close to tell in ball speed and spin

7 iron- Trend seemed to be a couple hundred less rpm with the Tour X

PW- Too close to tell

I’m absolutely convinced I prefer the feel of the Tour X. I’m playing again tomorrow so I’ll test more on the course where it really matters.

Wow, the fact that it stacks up even in limited testing is promising. Look forward to hearing more. I will be playing with the CS X in the next few weeks, we will see how it goes and if I like it as much as I think I will, the new Tour X will definitely get some testing too

are these made in Vietnam?

eBay has 4 dozen boxes for $80 free shipping. Not sure if it's fake but I doubt it.

The Tour and Tour-X are made at Foremost and are cast urethane.  Not Vietnam.  Unless foremost has a factory in Vietnam.  I'm not sure if the Tour-S is TPU or Cast.  If cast then they are also made at Foremost.

Hmmm.

ebay orders are coming from Vietnam. Could be fakes then.

They aren’t fake and they aren’t coming from Vietnam. I don’t know who/why they say they are coming from Vietnam, but they are drop shipped from Dick’s in the United States (coming from Dick’s Distribution Center in Conklin, NY).  I ordered some and got them in two days.  Not just Maxfli balls, I bought some Callaway balls that were 100% real last month as well. There are like 5-6 different Ebay accounts doing this. Always get the balls from Dick’s in two days…

This is what I’ve been getting from Dick’s, aka Vietnam.

These are the best fake balls that play exactly like the real thing, if they are indeed fakes, Hahaha…

My gamer ball for the past few years has been the Bridgestone Tour BRX.  I tend to fight spin and the BRX is the lowest spinning Bridgestone ball.

Tried the MaxFli Tour ball last year and really liked it.

Tested both the Tour and Tour X and found the X to be firmer than I like and spin more than optimal for me.

Tested a dozen of the new Tour S this year and found them to be a bit too soft and with a lower trajectory.  Definitely more like the Titleist AVX ball than the Bridgestone Tour BRX.

The MaxFli Tour is the Goldilocks ball for me and I’ve been playing it now as soon as the weather warms up.  In the winter I prefer the slightly softer Bridgestone Tour BRX a little more.

It is a great value for the performance and I’m a big fan of the CG marking as it saves me some time too because I don’t have to use the EZ Check Go with them.

The tour x has become my ball going forward. Falls between the Wilson staff model and the left dash for me. Left dash doesn’t spin enough and Wilson staff spins too much. The tour x kinda falls between the two for me. I can stop shorter pitches and chips but don’t watch the ball spin out of control with the longer clubs.
I said it earlier but they really have a winner with this ball.
the other thing I give it is consistency. I was working on 80-120 yard shots with it today and they all fell into a tight grouping. Normally I will see one weird ball that goes short or long when practicing from that range and this just is not happening. Anecdotal I know but it’s happening.

I have been playing all 3 to see what works best for me

I have come to the conclusion that the "S" is the one.

I will play this year to  with the renaming Tour and X just to clean up the stash

Tour S is money. AVX but for half the price. I tested a bunch of balls this summer so i'm just playing with everything I've got left but i'll be going strictly Tour S for the future once i'm done with all the balls I've got.

Just curious, but what is your swing speed? And how do you find this ball compares to the regular tour ball?

I'm 95 with the driver. I like the slightly softer feelings balls like the AVX/MaxFli Tour S but not something super spongey like the chomesofts. 80 or so compresison is the money spot for feel and performance for me. I notice pretty much no difference between playing the AVX and Maxfli Tour S...other than people shaming you for playing Maxfli instead of Titleist lol.

Wow, if someone is shaming you for what ball you play, especially one that plays identically, that is very embarrassing for them.
