I bought a dozen of the Tour Soft and Tour X and when I added them to my cart and went to check out shows a “Limited Time” sale of 1 for 39.99, 2 for $70, or 4 for $119.99. Don’t they always show “Limited Time” sale though?

When I purchased in-store, the signs only mentioned 2 Dzn for $70. I’ll be ordering 4 Dzn online from now on. I appreciate the heads up!

I played the Tour-S today. I’ve never played the AVX so I can’t comment on the ball flight similarities to it but it’s a touch lower than a Vice Pro Soft, nothing drastic. It does feel a little firmer to me than the Pro Soft, I’ve read that Maxfli has a proprietary mantle layer in the new series of balls that is a little stiffer than what’s in the Vice balls for more ball speed so that may explain them feeling a little firmer, nothing drastic but it does give a little more feedback on a off center strike which is nice.
The weather today here was in the low 60’s with a bit of a breeze coming off the lake but I fount the ball wasn’t affected much by wind. Great flight off the driver, best day I’ve had with my driver since I’ve got back into golf. It’s ashame I waited til the back nine to pull driver but I had a couple bad days with it the last couple rounds out and was a little gun shy.
I don’t have any hybrids in the back right now but I play a XR Steelhead Heavenwood at 20 degrees and a Radspeed 7 wood at 23 and got a really nice high ball flight with those clubs. I play one length irons and didn’t have trouble getting my 6 iron up in the air which is the longest iron I’m playing now. In the one lengths I’m used to a higher ball flight in the short irons so a player with a conventional set of irons may have a little different experience there but I was getting the ball flight I was expecting. I had no trouble holding greens today.
I do play conventional length 56 and 60 wedges and I’m not a high spin player but partial wedges were one hop and stop. I’m not the one to comment on green side spin as the short game is my weakness so I’ll leave that to a player better around the greens to leave their input on.

The ball was a touch soft off the putter for my taste as I like a little clickier ball to putt with but I could easily adjust. I’m gonna give the Tour X a go next round to see how it compares and eventually the standard Tour but I could easily see myself making the Tour S my gamer. This has nothing to do with performance but I also liked the blue numbering on the balls.

At Dick's today, girl at checkout said couldn't find the 4 for $119 price. I asked her to keep looking and she did find it and allowed the purchase. With the $20 off for signing up on the text list - got the price down to $100.

Now to see if the ball plays as great as the 2021 version. I did get 2 dozen of the Tour and Tour S. The X version has never appealed to me. Personal preference I guess but then I never liked the V1x over the V1 either.

I picked up a dozen of the Tour S a month or so back - regular ball is the latest AVX.  It was near 60* today so I was able to get out on the course and try it out.  It was really windy here, sustained winds of 15-20+ and gusts over 30.  The ball held up pretty well in the wind.  I'm not entirely sold on the AVX comparison - first impressions are it's a bit firmer than the AVX and spins a little more.  The golf course and greens were slow and wet, so not an ideal day to judge it, but it's a good ball especially for the typical Dicks/GG discounted prices.

Just the opposite for me.  Really prefer the previous double alignment lines.  Been playing the MaxFli Tour and really like the center of gravity alignment feature.  Saves me the time of doing it with my EZ Check Go.

TBH I've never paid much attention to the CG.  I just figured that ball that veered right into the lake was just my bad swing....Who knew?  😜🤣

You probably already know this but the center of gravity alignment is still a feature of the new ball. They just cleaned up the alignment aid.

I liked the old alignment aid but it will make no difference in my purchase

I was wondering if the people who play this ball a lot actually line up the CG on the tee as Maxfli says to do?

If you do, do you notice any difference?

I have found a few of these balls in the wild and have played them and really liked them but I always forget to line the ball up on the tee.

The alignment aid is used on drives and putts and when playing lift, clean and place.  Yes, I believe it helps.

I played the previous version of tie tour x last year and honestly do not notice any measurable distance between a ProV1x.  It spins a ton for me around the greens, feels great off the putter, and are durable. Picked up 4 dozen of the new ones for $100 today, hoping nothing but the markings changed really.  Also may pickup a dozen on the tours just to compare.  For those that have tried both, what kind of differences are you seeing in spin/flight between the 2?

How did you get the extra $20 off? Did your store allow the text alerts code? Or did you purchase online?

Played 3 more used, but excellent condition Tour X balls again this past Saturday.  36 holes.

I think I found a new ball to play.

I have played the Pro v1 exclusively since the first day it hit the shelves many years ago and I still love the ball,  but I'm getting really tired of paying out big money for them.

You may already know this, but if you like the ProV1 I think the standard tour is a closer comparison.

Got to play another round with the Tour S yesterday.  It was cold, high 30's to mid 40's, with a light wind for the whole round.  The ball is pretty impressive to me - great feel with the driver, irons and wedges, and really good performance in the wind.  I really like it around the greens and with the putter - it has just a bit more spin than the AVX and checks up nicely on chip and pitch shots.  My only minor complaint is the cover durability - it seems to get marked up pretty easily relative to the AVX.  I think It's a great ball for the price.  I'll look to pick up 4 dozen when I get my next DSG rewards code.

Customers aren’t the only ones reading these threads. So are the oem’s.

Once we find an undervalued product, the oem’s are quick to raise prices.

It’s so tiresome

I agree.

I'm not knocking Titleist here, and I'm not poor by any means, but the last dozen Pro v1's  I recently bought as a thank you present for a friend cost me about $59.00 after taxes from Golf Galaxy.  The wife was with me and had this wild look in her eye as I swiped my card.........she said you gotta be kidding..... right?

I hope it's a good long while before Maxfli raises their pricing because I think it's going to be my new game ball.

Interesting. I’ve had the opposite experience. After one round the AVX looks like it’s gone through a cheese grater, while the Tour S still looks pretty new.

I haven't played the newest version but the 2022 version consistently 500-1000 rpm less spin on full iron and wedge shots on my launch monitor (skytrak) compared to proV1x.  Generally a lower spin player, so feels like I need more help in that area.  Since I've been keeping the ball in play way better so far this year so going to try to give Prov1x an extended look.

How much more does the TourX spin relative to the Tour?

Are you saying those stats are with the Tour? It’s my understanding that the Tour X compares to the ProV1x and the regular Tour compares to the ProV1.
