I get to the point where I’m ready for a WRX break and don’t have the willpower to quit on my own so it works out.
And codes or not. Someone hits that “report” button and the WRX po po breaks that code real fast! Haha

... From MB's to many topics you and I seem to be on opposite ends of things. But ain't that America? Just because I am secure enough emotionally to not care what any owner, CEO or press person says about their customers does't mean I agree with insulting them. I do find it interesting that many that throw around nomenclature like "snowflakes" seem to be extremely offended by anything that doesn't fit in their tight little box. And to be fair those on the other end of the spectrum that expects everyone to be as "open and liberal" as they are (which oil course is the exact opposite of open and liberal) are equally to blame for the mess this country is in.

... I miss the days of Keep Your Mouth Shut about personal information including religion, politics, finance and almost every other subject best kept to yourself.

I think it's as simple as folks don't want to be lectured to or dished "teachable moments",Especially when they cutting loose, eating or drinking or watching sports or entertainment. It's not the message it's the messaging and the placement. Many don't go to Sunday sermon because they don't need to hear "the talk". Many don't answer the door when the JW stop by too. You know what, it's their right to walk away from it.

Followed my last round of 79 with an 81 today. A couple of missed 4’ par putts was the difference. My iron play continues to improve, much of which is attributable to finally putting ego aside and pulling a longer club.

It was brutally hot - probably the “hottest” day on the course so far for me this year, which is saying something. Temp hit 104° while we were out. Temps were higher during my previous 2 rounds, but the air was still and humidity was higher today. I walked and was regretting my decision by 14 or 15. I really wasn’t sure I would make it through the last 3 holes, as the parking lot is just behind the 15th green, making it easy to bail.

It was fun playing with our regular group again, but I’m going to wait until the heat dome moves off of Texas before I get back out. Might be awhile.

... I can't believe this is actually happening, but I am going to PLAY GOLF TODAY! One round in 3 weeks living in Phoenix must be some kind of misdemeanor. I imagine even at only 106*  it will be empty, heavily watered and I'll be alone so hopefully less than 2 hour round. But at least I'm playing with my pard tomorrow before the 116* temps return for a week or more.

I’m playing a local course called The Bridges here in a bit. Hit ‘em well chi

Nice sunrise! What are you doing up so early?!

I once made a short film about a guy who had an ugly industrial view out his apartment window.  So he went up into the mountains and took a photograph of a beautiful view. Had it enlarged and printed it... and pasted it into his window!

That sounds like a cool 🎥

I seem to get up at 5am like once a week or so. Usually it’s when I have slept for a full 8 hours the previous evening 🤔

But all this beer talk make me think back to HS days. Was drinkin beer beer beer

... You want simple? Then just don't listen. In my younger years when I was an information sponge, I never understood ignorance is bliss. Older and wiser it is glaringly apparent it is the only way to survive in todays society. I was completely unaware of the BL controversy. I don't watch the "news" and only peruse the paper looking for information about the weather, sports, restaurants and road closings. AZ seems to be a hotbed of election controversy so I can skip 4 to 5 pages at a time. I do my best to remain blissfully ignorant about things I don't care about but more importantly things I can do absolutely nothing about other than be angry and post it on social media. Not doing so are my keys to a happy life.

... This is the only place I engage in it and even here it is thankfully pretty rare. There are obviously members I enjoy reading about and conversing with but if I delved into their personal political or religious beliefs they would quickly go on ignore, and I imagine I would be the same for them. You know being the Hollywood elitist using any bathroom hippie that I am.  Ignorance is bliss works really well here too. 😇

Same. I mean I heard about stuff on the periphery, but didn’t pay any attention to it. Other than it has something to do with trans, I still don’t know what it’s about, nor do I care. I don’t generally drink BL, but if someone offers me one, I’ll gladly accept it in my ignorant bliss!

I totally get the Ignorance is bliss thing, BUT. If we all ignore everything that some very rich and powerful people are trying to do, you will not recognize this country in another 5-10 years. Not a conspiracy, it's fact.

Meister Brau! Never saw those bottles but that beer was around growing up

here. Mostly, in HS, we drank Bud. If you were really hard up…Piel’s 😱 🤣

For big parties in the woods, keg of Bud! Those big red plastic cups, big fire 🔥, clothes smell like smoke lol

The Bridges - my kryptonite!  Ok, there are quite a few courses at which I don't play well, but that one stands out.  Plus, there was the one round when I probably had heat exhaustion - I didn't move from the cart for holes 12-17.  Thank God their water stations had water!
