Announcers talking about footmarks on green.  Its a non issue, the ones who did it can simply concede the remaining holes in the match that doesn't determine the cup, since that is over.   The idea these holes are so relevant, when the pressure is off..... it's not the same.

Europe was clutch when it counted.  Will be interested to hear Stacy’s comments.  I was really expecting KPMG performance insights to give the US an edge.

Don’t really see the need to continue playing, or Mr. Abbot’s comments to the contrary. Winning is whoever goes home with the Cup.  In that regards, Europe did enough to retain which means the Solheim Cup has been decided. 

 

Guess it matters to the final two players, but for all intent and purposes, the bottom line is all that truly matters.

It is anti climactic to watch now eg EKP vs Lexi . Agree with Tom's commentary on GC. (players want their records on the Cup, tie doesn't really feel like you win but it is the rules, etc)

 

While others didnt root for Stacy etc.  I rooted against Slowlota. Plus as I said, I rooted for Lee and Zhang.  Oh well, win some lose some.  I'll take the tie (which really means nothing, in all regard). 

 

It's funny listening to the commentators though and their biases, expected of course.  Made the morning more interesting.

Wonder if Lexi will be inspired by the backing and showing here (or if the injury also limited her earlier this year)?  Either way, seems like she could miss every cut from now until next year and she'll still be on the team.

I don't know that I want her to lose.  I do know that I didn't want to listen to her talk had they won.

 

I didn't mind her as a player (not really a fan either), but I think some of what she's pushing is a bit too far out there or disconnected from reality.  I'm also somewhat surprised she seems to have rallied/united the team.  My impression was that she rubs some other players the wrong way too (although maybe this is incorrect).

But I get that to Team Europe it should feel like a win.

Hedwall stepped up and took it.  

 

I believe she birdied 4 of the last 5 or 6 holes to grab the victory. No other way to spin it, she made the putts when it counted.

How Lame this whole thing was....why even bother traveling for a tie?  Same thing as a loss as far as I see it.  All of the Euro players play on the LPGA, not the LET, even more so than on the men's side.  There were just too many leads that just went away too easy.  Sure, it happens a few times, but this thing had way too many for me to believe that it is fully legitimate.  It's not a damn soccer match!  We won't see LT in one of these ever again....at least we got that.
