She finished T7 at the AIG. She finished 2nd at the Scottish, three shots off the lead.

i like Celine Boutier's conservative strategy on 18th second shot (both the regulation 72nd hole, and in the playoff)... the "bailout to the right" gives a much easier chip (or long putt) and takes out the chance of a blow-up into the bunkers or water... but then again i'm an 18-hcp and not an LPGA pro in a playoff for the win!

I'm pretty proud of CB for today's performance.  I first met her as a college player at Duke when she was struggling with EXTREME personal anxiety.  She's come a long way from that scared freshman hiding behind a tree on the course to now.  Great to see her make those clutch putts when it mattered most.

Your image above shows why it is a decent fit on multiple fronts with the French Can Can dancing - that was in my mind.

 

And yes, it's fun to say....a bit like Salsa (Seinfeld reference).

It's nice to see the tour back in Arizona, but this course is meh. Surprised it's one of Jack's designs, as he generally has tough fairway bunkering, and highly contoured greens. I know the TV doesn't show the contours, but I didn't see any crazy breaks. Way too little danger near the greens. They should try to get on Sterling Grove, a new JN design in the west valley. 'Some seriously fun greens there.

As to the lyrics wordsmithing, I'm not going to commit as I fear ending up with something cringeworthy ala the Leona Maguire "This girl is on fire" (fire/Maguire, you see the rhyming) tribute song that some UK golf comedian wrote and sung in response to her Solheim cup exploits. Pure cringe.

 

If the inspiration hits, well, maybe but don't hold your breath on that one.

 

Us Aussies aren't naturally gushing fan boys/girls.

I'm guessing the design brief from the club was for an easier version of a traditional Jack design and it was mentioned that son Gary helped.

 

Maybe not even a Nicklaus 'Signature' design which he only allows to be designated for his serious stuff and he personally puts in significant effort including multiple site visits (and no doubt charges an increased fee for).

 

Just my speculation, though.
