Surprised that no one is talking about Hinako Shibuno.. I know there are lot of fans in this forum..

She had a bad first round (74) but great 2nd (64) and 3rd (65) round.  She's right there to win along with JYK..

Anyone from that -13 group can still win!  I think Vu will go low today after a pedestrian round 3.  I hope Annie isn't out of firepower, she was abysmal on the par 5s yesterday.

Yealimi's final round was anti-climatic; it feels that she's stuck like in 2022 that both putting and ball striking were suspect.  Fortunately, we'll get some more clue next week at Palos Verdes; where she shot +7 in two rounds last year to miss the cut.

Or they are just not playing as well as they have at certain points in the past, and it has nothing to do with the clubs.

No narrative change from me, they both should be plenty comfortable after 3 months with new sticks. It's not like they play once a week, like some of us. @18majors is making it sound like Nelly has missed every cut so far, which is far from reality. I can't help to think most would consider her to be having a good start to 23. She won't win them all folks.

C'mon, gang. Hinako did not win her first event as a member of the LPGA. She won the AIG as a non-member. 

 

Actually, there are probably more non-members who've won than rookies in their first starts.

Yeah, I didn't like the top of the leaderboard being able to hanging on.  Celine is definitely hang in but  here's her Kryptonite ... the playoff.
