Leave it to Lucy, she'll be the first female president of the USA:

LPGA Drive On: Lucy Li, Alexa Pano have plenty of LPGA experience, but it's a week of firsts for most of tour's rookies

"In between practice, Li, 20, got cranking on her schoolwork at the University of Pennsylvania. She will soon declare a double major in data analytics and psychology. Both 18-year-old Pano and Li turned professional out of high school.

“I’m taking one course now and pretty much just started my junior year in college,” said Li, “so I got a lot of good work done.”

How did 23 rookies get in this tournament?

This can't be right. We're told constantly on here that they never tuck the pins for the ladies like they do the men 😉

Fear not, I'm sure they'll move the tees up for those 7I 2nd's into the par 5's😅

Do higher ranking players get to choose the Tee Times first?

Seems most higher ranking players are playing mid morning or mid afternoon Tee Times, which is ideal..

You don't want to be first out or last in..

You're right that higher ranked players are given better tee times; but I believe LPGA decides the tee times with input from tournament organizers.

I don't believe players get to choose tee times, but the tour generally gives the higher ranked players better times. Of course over the years there's been plenty of times where higher ranked players have been given "questionable" times.

Peeked at the early leaderboard. Yup, it's a full field event. Lol. Plenty of new names at the top. Should be a good week.

The rookies have to get off to a good start. Over the past few seasons we've seen too many rookies struggle out of the gate and ultimately wind up back at Q Series.

I remember early in Brooke's career, she was top 10 (I think at #5) and in an event in Korea they gave her an early tee time and starting on the 10th with bottom ranked players, while the other top players in that wave started on #1.  I don't think she's ever played in Korea again lol

I think for the most part its computer generated but I believe the LPGA does pick featured/TV groups.

Confusion with the scorecard..

Could someone explain..

Hole 5.. and Hole 7

Hole 5:   Par5 on Golf Channel score list..  LPGA score list see it as Par4..

Hole 7:  reverse..

I would trust the LPGA site, judging by the TV coverage, GC barely know the LPGA exists this week lol.

Yep - big field alright. A few names coming from the LET and doing well.

I still follow Sung Hyun Park and it's nice to see her below par again. But she tends to do this for the first round and then slip back down the field.

I don't know, she hasn't worn it recently:

@18majorsthanks for sharing... Malbon style seems eclectic eg this “preppy”(?) example... vs the previous bucket-hat/ relaxed “slacker”(?) oversized sweaters example

...and this odd “Korean school uniform”(?) look, with loops on her shorts, to keep her wooden tees? 🤮

Good to see Patty T seemingly back in form after such a rough season last year.

By happy coincidence... some of the LPGA pros who 'volunteered' for the R1 selfie-station = also have performed well & near the top of R1 Leaderboard!

Any folks conversant in "emoji speak" = can translate/decipher InGee's latest tweet? eg @Argonne69 @MagicClassic407

Is she simply saying "fluffy clouds = pretty like cotton candy"? Or that InGee's "OOTD" = matches said color-scheme of blue sky and clouds?

I like these shorts with loops.

Wonder if they make a male version, they'd be useful to hold a cigar or two.
