You mean "one hole won by birdie"?  There're nine other birdies, five by England and four by USA; that tied holes.

I misread, thinking only the blue highlighted numbers are birdies. But the birdies that tied are not highlighted.

Seriously, enough with the weather reports. Heck, it's not even summer. What did they expect in May in SF? I teed off yesterday and it was 39 degrees. Beautiful day. 

 

They're obviously missing a great opportunity to showcase some classy looking winter golf gear.

🧦 @Argonne69 Are those knee-high socks =popular in the USA? Almost de-rigeur in Korea/Japan? 
 

I’ve  heard that some traditionalist Aussie 🇦🇺 golf clubs require knee-high socks for blokes (if you wish to wear shorts)… not sure on this, perhaps @Rapidcat or @Raving Shanker can clarify?

Which KLPGA (or JLPGA) is that shown in your photo? (I saw a similar photo in a thread here w.r.t.  Lee Mi Hyang… but am guessing isn’t Mi Hyang?

Fashionista Soo Jin Yang in the first and third photos, and Gyeol Park in the 2nd. The KLPGA often plays in cold weather, and some of the fashion is amazing. Lol. 

 

No, knee highs are almost unheard of in the U.S. Very popular in Japan, an slightly less so in Korea.

It will be a shocking upset if they do not win imo but Thailand is looking strong too. Patty is the wildcard. I'd feel confident with Mo+May as my 2v2 in the next round

I can see why Ting Ting could be mistaken for Soo Jin. Yuting currently playing on the JLPGA.

Didn't expect Korea to miss the semifinals, and certainly didnt expect them to have zero points after four matched. Wow. 

 

Thailand is looking very good. Agree that the course suits their's lengthy. The rough is beating up the short hitters who aren't finding fairways. 

 

China needs a help, but it's certainly possible that Sweden could take both matches tomorrow.

You could really get a sense today of how difficult the rough is at Harding. I live about 2 miles away and played there last week. They cut the rough much shorter than for the men’s events, but it’s still often difficult to get clean contact. Even Nellie had some problems. The thick foliage of the trees are another feature of the course. I don’t know if it was mentioned, but they lost many trees in this winter’s storms. Mainly on what are normally the back nine holes along Lake Merced. Speaking of Nellie…

-USA needs to at least tie one match and they are through. 

  *If SWE beats USA in both matches, CHN needs to win both matches, in which case there will be a playoff.

-ENG is out and can watch the coronation.

 

In Pool B:

-THA and AUS are through to the semifinals.

-KOR and JPN are both out.

-Hence, everyone in Pool B can take the day off and get ready for Sunday (win/lose 10 & 8 and go home).

No stats on the LPGA leaderboard, but it looked a little better than in the first round.

I think on a normal day the rough is penal. I played it in 2017 from 6800 yds, and it destroyed me.

I really enjoy this event, but the lack of partisan fans that attend the Solheim makes it feel like a funeral procession. The cloudy weather isn't helping.

 

I like the idea of hosting the tournament in the defending champions' home country.
