Spot on.  I had a chance to test a TD 3 metal with hot melt and it does mute it quite a bit.  I love how it sets up but it's not as forgiving as my OG SIM ti especially low off the face.

As far as Callaway clubs are concerned this is why I'm sticking with Epic Flash and Mavrik TC heads. The faces started getting really shallow starting with the Epic Speed line and the models with the higher face became very unforgiving. The Mavrik and EF lines had rear-weighted and very neutral heads like the standard models and even the TC Max model in the Mavrik that are very fade biased and flat with taller faces (and full face scoring lines). You get basically TD head looks with max head forgiveness.

 

I'm still testing some Rogue ST heads but I dont like them as much.

 

EDIT to add: Another note this is why you see pros with the triple diamond epic speed and rogue ST fairways in the bag still over the Rogue ST LS model and the new paradyms. The higher face and more traditional shape combined with better forgiveness.

I have to say “whoa mama” is an incredibly accurate way to describe this driver. Now only does it feel near, control better and go longer than my previous driver, I had a unicorn drive on the last hole of my round today. 
 

480 par 5 had 105 to an elevated green. I was beyond surprised. I was worried about carrying a creek and I didn’t see my ball land…. Well it was because I wasn’t looking far enough. 375 is the longest drive I have ever hit in my life. I ended up with birdie on the hole.

 

 

10/10. I’m glad I’m back with callaway.

Yeah I definitely did get some benefit from the hot dry Texas turf.... my guess is 50 yards or so.

I actually tried the tsi3 driver and almost got it. I got slight bit more ball speed and slightly less spin with the Paradym. But keep in mind I am testing these with the stock shafts because its hard to try out anything with the shafts I have.

 

You can't go wrong with either one. The Tsi3 is probably the best driver Titleist made in a long time.

Cant compare to the TSI3 but can compare to the TSR3.  Had both in a 9*, same playing length.  Forgiveness, launch, and spin were basically the same, TSR3 averaged about 2 mph more ball speed.  TSR3 easily wins in the looks department.

Easily wins on looks? Not in my book. Everyone has their preferences. Triple Diamond’s shape looks so good at address and I much prefer the way it sets up with the dark blue behind the gray top line. Very easy to aim. Paradym’s lower spin gets it way out there for me.

I personally love the look of both the TD driver and 3 wood. The 3 wood is scorching hot from the tee and the fairway. It's pretty forgiving as well IMO. Best driver and 3 wood combo I've ever had in my bag.

Played my first round with my triple diamond 10.5 degree. I typically play 9 degree heads. Some swing changes made this 10.5 work for me. Shaft is a ventus black 6x tipped 1.25 inches playing at 45.5 D8.5 swing weight. This driver doesn't seem to curve much and I like it. Of course I'm still in the honeymoon phase but it already is one of the best feeling and sounding drivers I've ever hit. I look forward to hitting it because it feels so nice lol. Should've named it the Triple S (soft, springy, and silent). 

 

I picked up a tr black 6x from another member here and ill put that in the TD and see how it does. 

 

Tournament in 2 weeks, this is staying in the bag. 😎

Yah I have the TD 3w. Hit the TD drive mr the other day and really liked it. Need to give it a proper go on a launch monitor head to head though with my tsi3

So far I'm really liking this driver, I really have to do something stupid to get it curve a lot. Played 2 rounds at 10.5 and realized I'm hitting it higher than usual. Set it to -1 and it was better but bigger fade, so threw it in D setting and it's pretty perfect. The TR black I have coming has a -2 adapter so ill turn it down to 8.5 D and see how it goes. 

 

Hopefully I can stop the revolving door that is the driver lol, the PTD seems like it ticks all the boxes for me.

The one I ordered with a TR Blue 6 the head weight is 194 (2 & 14 weights) and the other one I ordered with a Kai Li 70X the head weight is 190 (2 & 10 weights).

I can tell you compared to the TSR4 the TD is higher spin but not by much…more forgiveness, higher launch. But they dont perform that differently

TSR4 isn’t as bad as it’s made out to be, but yeah I would def say the TD is better. I think I decided that I will tolerate the spin for more fairways. Home course isn’t that long anyway. But if it was a long drive day, TSR4 might be it for me

For me, the feel and consistency whether you hit it high, low, heel, or on the toe of the face. It honestly feels like there’s no massive penalty for not hitting it in the center of face (something I’m very good at lol)

absolutely love the 3 wood. Feels great, looks great and is long enough. 
 

I tried the paradym hybrid but didn’t really like it. I also tried the Rogue st hybrid and it was awesome so I went with that and saved a little money.

Went out of town and mistakenly didn't grab PTD 🥺

Got back after reading this thread in detail,  headed to range with a few shafts , kept the 14g wgt in the back of a 9* head and enjoyed the session.  Last Friday,  my son and I played early by ourselves and I brought std , tsr2 and PTD but this time I added an old matrix technology shaft. 

UNICORN 🦄  !!! after just 2 holes , the PTD clearly won the bag spot with more forgiveness than expected,  better sound, feel and distance..... can't wait to start my round this Saturday with this driver !!

WHOA!!!! Easier to hit straight,  feels and looks better , Easier to launch with this head/shaft combo .....can't explain and I don't care ....lol 

 

Whatever secret sauce Callaway used to get a TD unit to be this forgiving (wgt back) neutral bias CG and great feel is amazing and I thank them for it....well done Callaway

Hands down the best driver I've ever had.   Ive been consistently hitting it over 300 (total) and that's not on hard fairways.   It took a while to dial in, but once I got the stiff handled TR Red it truly came to life.  PTD 14g forward, 2g back playing standard 9* with TR Red 6S 45 1/4
