You are so correct, that 5 wood is a beast.  I will order this special 3 wood as I'm probably 5 3 woods deep and still not happy, this might be the one.  Don't care about price.

I'm happy they're releasing a low spin fairway wood, but I am honestly not a fan of the G430 aesthetic whatsoever. They perfected it with the G425 line, in my opinion.

Global Golf doesn’t actually have that on hand, if you notice to the left of the add to cart button it says Fulfilled by Ping.  This does however mean that these will be released very soon if they are taking orders now.

 

Definitely interested in this as I’ve always spun the standard Ping 3-woods too much.  Would slot in perfectly between my g430 driver and 5 wood.

Just did a quick google search and found another website that lists this at $547.99.  Might just go ahead and order via Global Golf and see what happens, fingers crossed for a pricing error on their part.

I saw that this morning, guess we should order one and see whether they cancel or honor it 🤷‍♂️

 

 

Edit: Global Golf site has to be wrong as it shows 14.5 and we all know it is a 15*

The dropped the Stretch version and replaced it with the LST since the G410.

I mean like the OG SIM is one of the hottest 3 woods of all time. This sort of thing. I think TS2 is also up there as well.

It’s not that the cor is higher on certain fwys, it’s how some companies have been able to drastically lower the spin on 3wds. For some golfers that spin reduction is great and creates a “hot” launch condition. However, for the majority of golfers it is worse.

When I bought my TSi2 I made sure to get it in 13.5 and cut it a little shorter so that if I needed to I could treat it like a 2 Wood persay or I could choke up and hit it like a hybrid. 

 

I can stretch it to 270 all the way down to 230. Flight it high and low left and right. It really is the most versatile club in the bag

The g430 max is plenty of 3 wood especially with the right shaft. Great speed and enough spin. Easy to hit off ground. These rocket 3 woods are almost harder to hit than drivers. Unless you are like DeChambeau and need to throttle down to hit the ball 300, not sure why you wouldn’t find a three wood that keeps the ball in play most often.

Just checked Global Golf to see if anything had changed with their pricing and they have completely removed the G430 LST option from their site.  Not sure what that means but my order has not been cancelled so I guess I’ll continue to play the waiting game.  Order was placed on June 9 and it stated expected delivery 2-4 weeks.
