Milled TaylorMade Putters

I could see their current shapes of the TP line plus something like a Spider making it’s way into this new milled line.

Milled spider would be my 4th putter. One putter for each quarter.

I saw one for the first time yesterday. They’re really really clean. I don’t know how many models but I saw a Newport 2 style and it looked sharp. All milled with milled grooves and two weight ports on the bottom. Stamping/branding is really classy, not TP, but something new. 
 

I think these will do really well. No idea on release date.

The Kia Ma black putters and the Cleveland Tour Action Milled are criminally forgotten or under appreciated in the golf world.  Just outstanding putters.

I don't know if it's any indication of what may come in North America, but if you go on taylormadegolf.jp, you'll see a new collection of TP Truss putters.

 

Hydroblast finish with black accents. Looks good!

Milled directly into the face. The only non-milled part of the putter are the two bottom weights.

Wonder if they're finally putting those Yes C-Groove angles to use on a milled putter?

 

Not saying they will have C-Groove but the angle is the tech not the shape.

Will be interesting to see if this comes to fruition as TM has always been 'all in' on inserts...

 

That said, I love their inserts, but will be curious how they position these in their overall lineup. I hope they go 'all in' on various accessories including easily orderable weights, shaft options, lengths and customized lofts/lies, etc. 

 

The latter point has always been a curiousity as to why have weight ports if it's almost impossible (in Canada) to get heavier weights to fully customize your flat stick.

 

We shall see what transpires!

What must one do to get somebody to stop putting weights in the bottom? 🙄 More classic Scotty’s it is (and my black lab)

Have the general public be willing to pay for multiple different heads to be milled at various weights.

I have absolutely zero insight on pricing, etc. but I will say that based on how they look they will be a premium product. It looks like a direct shot at the Scotty market and more high end and refined looking than anything out of TM in a while. Think of it like their off the rack Ping PLD line.

spoke with a fitter about these too. He said the models are very traditional (i think he said 5 total?). Think Soto, juno, and that style. He didnt say anything spider related, so im assuming thats a no.

 

I'm assuming we'd see photos by the US open, but thats a guess on my end.

Saw the entire line up the other day. 6 models. 3 blades/3 mallets. Look really clean and feel really good as well. Definitely a premium offering.

It’s not C groove tech or angles. It’s really good though, puts a very good roll on the ball.

The 3 blades are traditional. No wide blade unless it gets added to the lineup.

This looks like one of the TM Japan models and popped up on eBay with “GSS” insert. I doubt this is the new one but looks much better than original truss.

That's a custom insert, not from TaylorMade. It's been on eBay for months.

I was able to see the whole new lineup in person. They look, sound, and feel really good. 

 

Stainless steel, fully milled, small grooves in the face. 

 

I'm very excited to see if one of these can knock my Betti out of the bag!
