No shipping after a week

Not sure how you get to 266 feedback without a neutral or negative while operating like that, but I'd probably make this the first non-positive unless there's a dang good reason why you were ignored. He clearly doesn't use the site much for anything other than the BST based on the posts to feedback ratio, but if you aren't going to be on so that you're available to check messages, you at least need to have it set up so that you receive emails when you get a message.  Also strange that he isn't in here trying to explain himself since I imagine he'd like to keep his name in good standing.

 

And as another poster mentioned, had he been reading your messages or you just saw he was active on the site?

He messed up and admitted it. Said no excuses for the late shipping (shipped Monday, 8 days after purchase). Said his son gets on here to look around some and it wasn’t him so he wasn’t checking messages. He admitted his fault and is trying to make it right. Do with that info as you please.

When he saw the thread he supposedly shipped it. I wonder how long it would’ve  taken him to ship if you didn’t start a DND about it.  Did he provide you tracking info? This person sounds very untrustworthy, adding one to the block list for me.

If you're going to be selling/buying stuff on the forum you definitely need to have message notifications sent to email.

Think he said his son just browses on here and that's why it showed him active, not that his son checks his messages. That's not saying your assumption on the operation may not be correct.

Just to add a different perspective - I've had numerous transactions with @re_murphy13 and he's one of a handful of guys on here that I've traded with via "virtual handshake" only and have no qualms about sending payment as F&F (he has never asked for F&F, everyone should send payment as G&S, but I am well aware of my personal risk tolerance). 

 

OP - I hope and believe he'll make it right by you.  Please update us when this is all resolved.

He's obviously had many fine transactions and I don't think anyone is denying that. However, he didn't ship for 8, EIGHT, days and didn't respond to messages. There are very few circumstances that would make at least not communicating the delay excusable.

I don't disagree with you at all, good communication takes care of a lot of issues.  Just wanted to share my personal experience.

With this being the second offense for the same type of shenanigan's , I feel he should have two negative or neutral feedbacks now, no matter if it was "made right" in the end by getting what you paid for. 

 

The son browsing the classifieds doesn't eliminate the circumstances of him selling items and not shipping them. Takes 2 seconds to shoot the buyer a PM or respond. 

 

If you can't ship responsibly , don't list anything for sale.

I bought a rangefinder off of @re_murphy13 10 days ago and never received tracking nor a package. Messaged him last night waiting to hear back. Found this thread someone posted it in the listing where I bought from him. Just adding my experience so far.

I call BS on the son "browsing" classifieds. Anyone can browse the classifieds. Plus the son can create his own account and go through the rules like everyone else.

 

Its scary that a 200+ feedback is doing this, I guess, you can't trust anyone

 

Yeah, hes got to get at least 2 negatives at least in the feedback, now that its happened twice

That's not good, especially since his ad indicates it was shipped, and the ad was last edited 10 days ago.

Not that it matters, but I think he just replaced the asking price with the word sold and left the shipped part that was already there instead of deleting it.

Probably the same day he shipped the OP's after he was finally called out. You should be able to tell from the tracking when it was shipped.

Pretty easy, tap on your user name and it will pop up. Click on ignored users and add their name in.
