No shipping after a week

I purchased an item from a member of more than 15 years and it has now been 8 days with no communication or shipping info. I can see he has been on here multiple times as recently as earlier today. Should I file a PayPal claim or give him more time to respond?

I think 8 days is unacceptable personally and the fact that they are active and possibly posting is not right.

 

File a PP claim and name and shame I guess.

If they’ve been active I certainly agree with Matt. If not , there could be something else going on. I’d invite them here and let’s figure it out. Sometimes that’s make a big difference.

Those selling practices are unacceptable here or anywhere. Sorry  but it happens , although it shouldn’t. Maybe you’ll get clarification soon. Good luck man.

I don’t get starting the thread without naming the other person? It’s been 8 days, if the other person comes in and there is an actual issue then the mob won’t be bad, but waiting to out them especially while they’ve  been active has never made sense to me.

Yeah, completely unacceptable. Does he have feedback from buying/selling or just a poster. Had the member been posting recently before putting up the ad? Always possible if it was an inactive account that it was hacked and used to scam some people.

You should have a chance to respond. Not sure anything can explain the silence (assuming that’s accurate) given that you’ve been active but you should be aware of this imo.

Yeah man, that sucks. Way too long to wait.

 

But it does seem uncanny that right after every WRX transaction closes - the seller is "leaving town on business."

 

I'm not sure what business these guys are in but they do seem to travel A LOT!

I purchased a SC putter from re_murphy13 maybe 3 months ago and everything went through fine, very easy to deal with. From looking at re_murphy13's last ad six items were sold, all show shipped, I assume the OP's item is one of those items that show shipped. No way of telling who the other buyers are but wonder how they made out, if they have the same problem? Something seems off here, maybe re_murphy13 or the OP has a messaging problem they aren't aware of. Maybe the mods can help dig into it.

I assume you mean "him", not "them".

 

It's possible (not probable) that he's turned off all his notifications.

 

But even if he has, take a look at the last message (string) that you sent him.

 

At the top it'll say, next to your name Read: Just now. Next to HIS name it'll show you the last time he looked at the message.

One other thought.

 

If he has (or even if he hasn't) read your latest message about the transaction, you might contact a mod/admin.

 

At the very least they can send him an email with a link to this thread and request that he reply to your message and/or this thread.

 

You can't send him an email but the mods/admin can via the email addy he used to sign up here.

I looked briefly, he pulled something similar back in February with not responding to PMs and not shipping an item. I'm not sure what the resolution was.

 

I've issued him a warning to address the situation.

So basically he had your money, didn't ship in a timely manner and didn't communicate. Will absolutely add @re_murphy13 to the ignore list, inexcusable to pull this crap. 

 

Even if something is going on it takes 2 seconds to jump on and send a message about the delay. Clearly the OP said that he had been online and active within those 8 days so basically he's a turd.
