I was surprised the ball speeds were basically the same between the Kirkland and the Titleist. 

My thought is that $199 is a decent price but during mid-late November you could have gotten a Rogue ST on CPO for $10 more in "like new" condition. I bought a TD and it came with the head and grip in shrink-wrap. Multiple shaft options and lofts to choose from too.

I wouldn’t go that far with “changing the game”. They are just jumping into the DTC market but offer zero changes like shaft and loft/lie.

They are offering a quality product at a very affordable price. Any OEM or DTC have a better return/exchange policy?

Ya, they are offering it new at a cheaper price than any DTC. The only thing close is PXG prior year models at their sale price, but that also doesn't include the $40 for shipping.

 

Or at that price point, you can just buy severely discounted prior years used clubs and get a better head/shaft match for your swing.

Easy loss leader for Costco to keep memberships. They don't care man they are still making big money.

How do you know it's a quality product and what are you comparing it to in order to say its "quality"?  Look I have a Costco membership but with that said I can't get over the fanboy'isms for this driver and irons.

Costco's Kirkland Signature products are high quality. They have proven this over many years and have earned the trust of their customers.  FWIW I do not own any but would not be surprised with anyone that enjoys having them in the bag.

Kirkland has put out duds before so I will hold judgement until somebody does a proper review.  Good thing about Costco is you could let your kid beat the driver in the street and they would take it back so there is no risk.

Somebody is going to ask me to name a Kirkland dud and I'll give you a good one. The 4 piece ball that had a cover that slipped away from the core is a good example 🙂

Driver/Irons = duds, LMAO! Maybe to Wrxers and their inflated high standards, but not to the "Average Joe Costco" who plays occasionally and wants a decent set of clubs on the cheap...

I have two observations on the Kirkland Driver versus my Taylormade SIM2:

 

1. Low-on-face misses spin up more with the Kirkland Driver. My SIM2 (10*) will spin 2600 with a low-face shot, but the Kirkland (9.5*) spins closer to 3000.

2. Ball speed is more consistent across the face with the Kirkland Driver. Virtually 100% of my shots Kirkland Driver 170+ mph, whereas I tend to dip into the 160s with bad shots on my SIM2. Ultimately, the bad, low-face shots, seemed to balance out. The Kirkland rockets sky high at 170+ mph , carries 295, then rolls around 300. While the SIM2 comes out like a bullet in the 160s, carries 285, then rolls to around 300 on low-face shots.

 

I'm getting very similar results on my good shots.
