Puzzled why you would just not buy the PXG 0211 or Gen4 or Gen5 drivers that are all $199.99 at PXG?

Pick your loft, RH or LH, pick from various stock shafts.  PXG adapters are readily available if you want to try a different shaft, which may or may not be an option with the KS driver.

Obvi, shipping isn't included at PXG... 😂

Because people love supporting Costco? I have bought several clubs from PXG and they were pretty solid. If pricing and performance were the same I would go with Costco all day.

I am honestly curious. I think we are seeing social media drive social media crazy. Is any one honestly interested in this driver? Costco does their research and it will sell just fine for them. But it is not your normal golfer that is getting this.

Gen 4 and 5 underperform from all the reviews I've watched. I'd roll the dice on the Kirkland. It looks decent and I trust Costco as a brand. It may not be a ballspeed king but should be on par with most oems. Surely as good as the 0211. Lack of a 9.5 degree head is my only pain point.

Don't trust online reviews on any club, go play them and see for yourself. They perform just like every other driver on the market just as this club driver will as well.

As someone who has owned and tried far too many drivers, 5+6 perform just like everything else as you noted.

I can’t get over how much Kirkland’s stuff almost plays up to the cheap knockoff aesthetic.

I almost wonder if they do it on purpose?

If I played 3 or 4 times a year and didn’t care too much though? I’d game them

Had the wedges actually, just didn’t like the feel of them at all

Yea I’m sure Costco set out to “rip off a bunch of their members on knock off clubs.” Lol comment of the day.

To me there is a unreal amount of social media round this, but I dont think there is actually that much interest. I think it is social media frothing social media in a echo chamber. But your every day dad bod costco goer does not care about any of that. They see clubs a working father of 2 can afford and they can go play the 3 times a year and it does not break the budget.

I think that is the real costco Ksig golfer.

I’m with you on the real interest in this driver being low. There is no sales craze based on performance. Some will go for it. I’d like to hear how it sounds. I’m not going to buy it. For $200, if you know what to look for, high-end, mint preowned drivers abound! I’ll take a like-new Callaway Mavrik for the same cash or less. Those are great heads.

But I cannot imagine many golfers who are serious would choose the Kirkland over a PXG Gen 5 driver for the same money if they went through a PXG fitting. There is no comparison of those two experiences. The attention to detail is impressive. Heck, a phone fitting is better than a blind buy. Not knocking this driver per se, but as a value it’s an OK deal but not spectacular.

the guy who games this driver has an image to uphold…he shows up to the muni in jeans, with a well worn bag and an old set of Ping Eye 2 or TA 845s. He has a completely unorthodox swing, but somehow plays close to scratch. He really didn’t think he wanted a new driver, but the persimmon or OG Bertha he was gaming finally gave out, so he figured he’d pick this up so he has an alternative to striping his 3 iron off the tee. He makes a comment in the parking lot about how your new clubs are lookers, and how he doesn’t get out much (which is probably true but doesn’t matter). Despite your shiny new clubs and his appearance, you know better than to put a single dollar on the game,  just as he knows better than to get fitted for a driver from some fancy company when he can take your money with a club from off the wall at Costco

That was not what I encountered. The guy I saw with the Kirkland wedges was horrendous. Looked like he had hardly played golf and was never going to be any good. Kind of a slashing out-of-sequence arm swinger. He sent many Kirkland balls to various locations not on the golf course. When he said he doesn’t play a lot I almost wanted to thank him.

The ragged looking guys who can play have old equipment — old Titleist or TaylorMade or Ping drivers and old Mizuno or Ping irons but would not touch Kirkland. They would not consider this a good deal vs their old clubs because to them it’s all about how their old clubs perform just as well as anything new.

On a forum where members are obsessed with the best possible equipment I am baffled as to the remotest interest in anything from Costco. As already mentioned you can buy PXG woods for similar money, that perform extremely well, and have some trade in value.

I think it's the chase for the unicorn.  I liken it to the Adams 9015D craze from years past.  Adams hadn't really established themselves in the players clubs space.  Then they hit the long drive scene and the 9015D was an absolute sleeper that opened people eyes.  Then it was getting paired left and right with the Harrison SAGA that was another sleeper at a bargain price.

Plus, it's a relatively low investment.  A flyer on something that maybe will surprise you.  If they were pricing this thing at $500+ it wouldn't have near the interest it does, if any at all.

Then you have the defiance aspect. The disruptor factor.  Going against the grain and a conversation piece.

I think had the OG 4 piece not had the impact it did, Kirkland clubs wouldn't be nearly as viral as they are.

Every club has trade in value It's all relative to what you paid for it... You may not like it, but the trade-in value is indeed there...
