Wilson 2024 new staff blade/cb, dynapower forged, staff wedges, staff balls

Does anyone know what the deal is with the shield logo insert on the blades and cb’s? It would appear to be glued in. I noticed some play in mine and thought I was going crazy but it’s definitely not milled into it. Very odd.

Guess they've changed that from the original. Doesn't sound like a change for the better, and odd indeed that they'd do so.

Have a pic? Not unheard of but it is odd. And not good if it does not even stay in place. Is it plastic or steel?

Well none have fallen out. I do believe they’re steel. I can try and post a video of one wiggling but I’m scared to knock it out lol

I’ve emailed Wilson. When I say wiggling I mean I have to try to make them move. I’m not sure there’s anything to worry about at the moment . But I’m shocked these aren’t milled in. It doesn’t make sense why they’d do that. To me at least.

These heads may not be milled on the back of the club. If they were there would be no reason not to mill it in. But I believe what Wilson uses is poured 8620 steel to rough out the head, which is then drop forged into the final shape and then polished. I don’t know how much milling is employed in their process. I know on the previous version they touted the milled faces. Could be their process dictated how they handled the shield.

Well the weight cut out in the toe has milk marks as does the shield so that’s why I assumed. So odd but no way it’s impacting performance so not sure I care lol

Main golf page is looking cleaned up, though logogate continues, hah. Looks like they've gotten specs placed on each Staff Model's page down to the 4i and custom orders have all available options showing up now. Dynapwr Forged are on coming soon, but specs are up as well along with custom order.

The fluid feel hosel isn't a bore thru.  It's just a method to shift the cg a little farther from the hosel, that Wilson has used for a rather long time.

Thought about this the other day when I was looking into the CB irons. Seems they actually focused on toe weighting in those along with the blades.

Going to be ordering a set of DynaPower Forged in the 4i - 5i. With CB's from 6i - PW, figuring out the lofts for the DynaPower Forged at the moment. Plan on playing the Utility in a 2i. Worried the forged might be too hot as I was hitting the 7i of the D9 forged around 200 carry 210 total. Would like to get more height out of the low irons.  Has anyone found the 4-5i of the D9 too too hot ?

Anyone able to comment on the performance of the new MBs and/or CBs compared to the previous gen or the CBs compared to the Dynapower forged, especially in the long irons? Any pictures of the new CB blade lengths compared to the prior gen or compared to the Dynapower forged? Disappointed by the paucity of reviews/tests of these so far available!

My understanding from reading this thread and others is no. DP Forged will be the shield with the w/s and the CB and blades have the new shield. Guess it all converts over time. I was upset about it months ago but don't care anymore. Just want to try the DP Forged and the new wedges.

There is nothing about ball deals on their website. I agree that they should do something. It is too easy to just buy from Srixon or someone else who gives me a deal for a ball that similar. If Wilson gets me hooked by doing a 3 for 2 type deal then I'm likely to rebuy.
