The new model?

Not hit it but I don't believe the tech changed. Mostly cosmetic. I played the 22 year Wilson's.

I think your version had a tungsten weight in the toe. This version handles it via the Fluid Feel hosel and the precise toe weighting.

Mine had the fixed toe weighting and the fluid fell hosel also.

I took this info from a English site. It went on to say that Paddy loves them.

Explained: The Wilson Staff Model ZM Wedge bounce options

To enhance and not hinder your short game it’s vitally important to get the right sole grind shape and bounce to suit how you play. And, don’t forget the turf type you most often play from. Here’s Wilson’s advice on how to choose which best suits your game.

Low Bounce (6°)

For golfers who like to hit a variety of shots from high flop shots to 50-yard open face low spinners. A good choice for firmer drier turf. Only available on 58° and 60° lofts.

Mid Bounce (8° – 10°)

The set-up that will suit the most amount of golfers. An ideal choice if you regularly play from different types of turf. Also a good choice for golfers who play 90% of their wedge shots in the same way with a square club face aimed at the target. Expect a full family of loft options from 50° – 60°.

High Bounce (12°)

A solid choice for golfers who typically tend to play from softer conditions. Those who need help in bunkers, and golfers prone to hitting short game shots heavy. If you take big divots and want forgiveness in your wedge play higher bounce wedges are a great place to start.

Both the prior and current models have those features. The newer versions have additional weighting towards the toe for even more face stability, but anyone who finds a good deal on the prior set won't be in a bad way. Wilson really struck magic with the entire line these past two runs, as well as the woods and wedges.

Depending on the day I pretty much have an entirely Wilson bag.

Forgot it was coming up and missed out but watched the highlights from Golf Channel on YouTube. Full event is available on Good Good's channel. They played really well.

The bro energy was real for the event, but in a fun way. Guy shouting out his mom & dad like he was hopped up on Red Bull was a highlight. Guy putting from downtown with his driver. Guys dropping 30, 40, and 50 foot putts like it was nothing and calling their shots.

Aside from a putter slam in celebration it was mostly just a good time done the right way given the atmosphere. Reminded me of how fun golf under the lights can be and made me miss the prime time weeknight events that were a thing for a bit.

Edit: full length replay is also available on Peacock. Looks like Good Good's is condensed by about half.

I watched the highlights. Ben and Ashton seem like the most low key guys out there. Played their butts off. I’d love to know exactly what was in their bags and more info on the prototype putters. For all the hell they catch on the regular, great job Wilson on getting these two.

Haven’t seen the specs yet, but should be combinable with a little tweak here and there. I built a set early this year with 18/21 staff utility irons, 5-7 D9 Forged, and 8-PW staff cb…just had to tweak the lofts a degree or two.

I would LOvE that set up. My v6’s are getting worn.

Played d7 Forged 2 seasons before last. Loved them but just a little less control on mid and lower irons.

So what you have here sounds perfect!

- Something that continues to go long off the tee in the fairway
- Something that is a fairway finder when needed and long
- Something that high, consistent and helps with par 5’s
-  Something to help with long par3’s and short par 4’s

-  Something metal, lots of them and go the gaps I need
- Something metal, 2x of them and helps me 120y and in
- Putters - limited rotation because I cannot afford misses

Golf is what you make of it.  Play grateful and accepting. We are all lucky to have it.

Rather than expecting lets all try and appreciate instead.

D7F were really nice, sold a ton of them and played about 20 rounds with a set myself. D9F were not quite as good until I got a custom set with kbs tour $-taper 110.

No kidding?

The d7f I played with s300’s and it was good and bad.
Not as much spin when needed and trying t play an AVX was dumb on my part.
I think $Tapers would be perfect. Those are my fav shafts now.
Not sure what it is, but Wilson irons look great to my eye.
The v6’s I have w/r300’s hard stepped and are perfect.
I would like a 4-5i combo.
But te way this new line looks the Dyna is the same size head!

Looks awesome. Blended well with those Vokeys, wow!

I played Duo’s many times and loved the ball.

Ill have to give them another try this year as I HATE buying premium balls. Im all for a $35 box of balls.

Love Wilson.

I will say the d7 Forged felt amazing. All these player distance irons and only ones I see with feel snd distance is Wilson and New Level 902’s.  Both forged.
Sorry, Zx5’s as well.
But sub70, p790’s, i500/525’s, TMB’s all felt horrible with a “click” sound I couldn’t deal with.
T200’s aren’t bad.

Love it. Makes sense. I play something similar with 46-50-58 wedges, 2w, 4w, 6w and hybrid then depending on the course swap out 2w and hybrid.

But if I played a 44pw Dyna I would move to what you have.

Thanks man!

I won’t get my custom wedges for about a month. I was playing the staffs with triad, but need a more aggressive wedge for the new tp5 & staff ball. I also have a wood & ball deal with Taylormade so I diversify a bit…

I think there’s 0 chance the production model has the old badge. I’ll know shortly. And logo regardless as a consumer I’ll complain about things that make it harder to be a consumer. Hence the website comments. Last time I checked this was a forum…

I assumed the logo change was why the forged was shipping later than the blade/cb. Every picture I’ve seen had them with the old shield. I think the product launch could have been executed much better.

In regards to the particular models I’m not sure I thought you meant the whole line. It would appear the blades and cb are the blank shield which is whatever to me at this point. I liked the w/s better but I “dont not” like the blank.
