Oh well, wish they could have launched multiple items in the same time frame to create buzz. Hopefully they intro the irons and wedge at the same time. I anticipated their getting new accessories and bags out to show the commitment to the new shield and more upscale direction. Hopefully they will now wait a bit since many buyers will be at the show next week. Folks will have their eyes on other things.Not sure how others roll but I won't custom order a thing without laying eyes on it. The DP Forged pixes I have seen here and elsewhere seem to look different up in the toe area.

Where in Tennessee? Wasn’t it Humbolt, Tn once upon a time??

I don’t remember where, but I do remember my rep saying it is a huge facility. All my clubs come from there…they do a fantastic job on everything they’ve made for me to include four sets of irons, eight utility irons, four sets of staff wedges, and a tour issue driver. Most of my store stock over the past 18 months has come from there as well.

I know Wilson has a building still operating in Sparta, Tennessee. They had a factory in Cookeville for decades but that has been gone a long time now.

I’ve never had any issues with my custom irons from them either . Always top notch.

Hadn't gotten around to watching until you quoted the vid, but kind of funny seeing the new Staff ball with the blank shield then the Triad, the Duo, and absolutely all the signage and display items with the prior one. Such a weird move having things all over the place.

Saw the heads for the new irons today at a fabulous shop/fitter in Monroe NC. They look fabulous 
also bought a box of the new STAFF balll. Not the X. Excited to play them. The shop owner sells the heck out of the DynaPower woods and loves the new wedge.

So apparently the driver in that line was never put on the conforming list. Of course it probably doesn’t matter to the golfer who uses it. Thought it was odd.

You can customize clubs on order through the website, it just doesn’t show every optional shaft or grip available. It also allows for length & lie adjustment if you know your own specs.

I do not think so, the only changes are to the three irons, new wedges, and new staff balls.

That club is targeted at brand new golfers or very old golfers, neither of which should play any type of competitive golf where your equipment has to be on the USGA conforming list. I’ve always wondered how accurate that list is…several of MacGregor’s 1025 series irons were listed as non-conforming yet they were played on tour. Lee Jansen played a set of 1025m ViP’s for a number of years…I personally saw him bring them into the Edwin Watts store in Orlando to have loft & lie verified.

All of that is fine but consumers buy clubs with the assumption that it conforms even if  they never play in an event where it needs to be. The feeling I got was that Wilson didn’t handle it well at the consumer level. Of course they are moving on from the club so it’s a hassle to worry about it conforming. I champion Wilson but I care about what’s right more.

What is the plan for bags and accessories. The walking billboards,,,  hats, gloves, bags all need to have the new shield. Otherwise, what was the point.

I was specifically asking about the hybrid style iron in this line since graphite was the only option offered at a large discount currently. @67_VIP any info?!
