No need to get into it in the thread. Wilson makes great clubs and is transitioning in their marketing presence, but it's fair for people to point out issues that have come up with using their site and trying to place orders. The same happens in other OEM threads when there are problems getting the equipment we all enjoy. 

 

It matters big picture because continued success means continued good product available. Wilson needs to get a reign on the website & navigation problems. 

 

Also nothing wrong with people commenting on the product. It's an open forum.

DP Forged articles are starting to emerge. Sounds like they have a winner. Staying with old shield. Not my choice but time to move on. Time to try them out.

Has anyone seen specs on dynapower irons? I know the previous model had an 18* 4 iron. Looking at bending one a little strong and making a driving iron out of one. Don’t like the clunky look of most utility irons and think this could fit the bill.

The specs aren't on the site yet. The clubs weren't there just an hour ago. They will probably add the specs soon. They are there for the cb and blades.

They just popped up  on the customizer and looks like a 3 iron is offered in lefty. I wonder if they weakened lofts a little. I didn’t think they offered a 3 on last generation.

I have MKii ZX7s and previous gen Wilson Staff Blade. I assume the new Staff Blades are same size. 

 

The ZX7s and Staff Blades are pretty similar head size, length. Topline and sole are a touch thinner on the Staff Blade. ZX7 has the V sole but the Wilsons have a lot of camber heal to toe and front to back, so they actually play pretty similarly through the turf. Lofts are of course a little stronger in the ZX7s. Forgiveness isn't much different TBH (that's a compliment to Wilson..)

Finger slipped and I accidentally ordered a Dynapwr forged 3 iron built like a driving iron. 2* strong, +.75” to play at 40” with the recoil dart 105.

Well…… that was short lived.  I was more excited for this creation than my staff blades. 
 

 

I talked to Wilson and unfortunately there are not going to be offering the 3 iron in lefty for the forged either.  Their website saying so is an error.

 

plan b is the non forged dynapowr 4 iron which is stupid strong at 18* already anyway. Should be fine although not as good looking as the new forged

I just have an issue with buying new clubs like many of us. I also want the “driving iron” to be the same brand as my irons. It would bother me if not. I’ll give it a shot haha

Got to hit the new CB today. Absolutely top notch iron. The top line has been thinned down compared to the previous model and looks great at address. Looks in general are excellent. The head is small, so not for the faint of heart. Performance in the simulator was as good as any iron I have ever tried. Very tight dispersion, every shot seemed to have the same launch, spin, peak height and descent angle. Fitting head has the same loft as my current 7 iron, but I was getting a few yards extra carry from the Wilson. Definitely worth another look and a match for the new Callaway Apex CB and the new Cobra CB.

I'm the same way, I hated the sound of the U510 when I had it, 505 wasn't any better and WAY too big. Apex UT felt great but was ridiculously unforgiving. W/S feels good and looks good so far.
