Yep, black Toulon Shaft at 36". I wanted 37" but was told the longest I can order is 36".

I seemed to have a similar feeling towards the inserts. The Milled inserts all looked good to me, but some of the WH didn't. I also wonder if part of it is just perception due to the horizontal grooves and the awkward space they can leave around some of the edges. Some WH inserts did appear "Better" than others though.

And this probably a stupid question. But from what I read these are counterbalance putters. Is it still counterbalance with the Toulon shaft?

Odyssey just last night delivered my custom  Ai1 Rossie slant neck, 2* flat, 33.75", Tour Grip. It feels and rolls fantastic. Rolled for an hour straight today. Addictive.

Is that grip rubber material? Almost looks like suede in the pictures

Anyone roll these against scotty camerons? Any noticeable difference in feel and performance? Or is it negligible.

Rubber tour authentic grip.  Similar to a pingman grip.

I presume you’re asking about the current Scotty Cameron line versus the hundreds of older Scotty models. Yes I did and these compare very favorably in both feel and performance. This is in reference to the milled ones as I preferred those to the non milled. Feel is very subjective and you really need to test them yourself but I think this is one of the best releases Odyssey has done.

I just got my AI Milled CH 7 yesterday…spent about an hour putting with it….I have a Scotty Phantom 5.5, 7.5, and 11.5. 
 

The AI Milled feels as good if not better than any of the Scotty’s. I will say it’s a little lighter than my SC’s, but that can be easily fixed with the weight kits coming out. 
 

I think this will be my gamer for quite some time…looks awesome, feels awesome, and ball sounds awesome coming off the face. 
 

I have a roster of Scotty’s that I really like, but when it comes down to performance, I always end up with an Odyssey in the bag…have five various 7 models and a Tri Hot 5k Double Wide that’s been in the bag most of the year.

I had been rolling a Newport 2+ and liked the soft feel. New Rossie feels just as good with incredible consistency, So much so, I sold my Newport and TriHot. Bought a Ai Milled 7 and my wife rolled it for a few holes, then put it right into her bag, I also bought a Ai Milled 8T, thinking my custom Rossie would not be here for a few weeks. Odyssey shipped it fast! I think this is the best putter release they have had in years.

Feel? Similar, both nice!

Performance? I roll the new Odyssey much more consistent. That surprised me as the Newport 2+ is pretty good.

Have tried pretty much every model over the past few years and want to find a Scotty that plays as good as an odyssey for me because I love the Scotty aesthetics but always end up playing better with odyssey

That is the SS 2.0 XL. It is 14.75" (I think) so a bit longer. 

 

And no, with the black toulon shaft option, there was no counter weight.

I preferred the milled 3t when I putted in the store. The standard model seemed light and just off. Not sure what it was

There are tons a grips listed as options of odyssey website. I've heard a lot of complaints on here about the stock grip. Which custom grip you ordering? Golf pride tour only, Carson, etc?

Can you (or anyone- open question!) comment on the size of the 7S?  Is it nearer the Versa 7 that was released (hopefully) or is it closer to the large-head Tri-Hot?  TIA!

Here is the Ai-ONE 7s next to the Tri-Hot 5k 7 CH. The 5k looks to be a little bigger, but the Ai-ONE still feels like a little larger head!

I have both of these and have played several rounds with the AI putter and still prefer the 5K better.  I’ve had better putting rounds with the 5K.  If it didn’t have the 5K I’d put the AI in the bag.

Awesome!  Thank you!  Really liking the Versa version of the 7 right now and hoping to stay around that size.  However, I had a few major toe strikes using it this weekend and distance control was a definite problem.

I just went in the store and tried them. I have the tri-hot 5k 7 and the milled seven seemed a lot smaller. But I didn't compare them side by side. Maybe it's the navy paint color.

I went to the store after my round today with the tri-hot 5k ch.  Tried them all. Was really leaning towards the ai milled #7 before trying them. Granted the plastic was still on the heads. Seemed to putt better with the double bend today for some reason. Also would have never went for the number 11t but putted pretty well with it. 

 

Before my th 5k I had a scotty squateback so I tried the insert ai double wide and it was really good also.  The double wide was probably the best for me for hitting it in the hole.

 

The rossie looked good but I didn't make anything with it. 

 

I will need to do more testing.  If it was fast greens I think I'd prefer the milled 11, slow greens the double wide.

I will order with the Odyssey Tour Authentic pistol grip. Or put a Superstroke PT 2.0 on it.

Does Odyssey have something against single bend shafts? Would really love an offering opposed to the double bend...

Anyone know what the stock weights are in the milled version? Trying to figure out the lightest possible weight for #1 version. Website says stock weight is 355g

From the start I was discarding these, but took a look and a roll with them indoors at GG.  I find that I like the feel of the standard AI-One better than the milled, at least in the 1 and 2 models.  Just can't get past the AI tag, it's just so stupid to me.  I do like the look of them though so you never know...lol.

Might have missed but are these going to be available in anything arm-lock? Feel like they are due for a new version soon.
