Looks like the knobs on the dial squeeze in on the opening as dial up.

Looks like the higher the number, the tighter the path window.  It seems the spikes get bigger as the number gets higher.

 Now that I’ve looked closer, I believe both of you are right. I see now the knobs are longer the higher the number. Seems like a pretty good aid.

I got one of these a couple months ago. The knobs make the putter and ball path tighter. Yes, you can do this with tees but it’s really easy to set up, move to different holes/breaks, can be used inside and on artificial turf. A really nice multi function putting aid.

I got one sent to me a few months ago.  I like it quite a bit mostly due to the removable guide that forces the ball to go exactly where you aim the device.  I snap the guide in, put one tee in the plate, stroke a few putts and adjust the plate until the line is as close to perfect as I can get it.  Once I get the exact line I want to the target, I stick in the other 3 tees, remove the guide, adjust the gates to my desired width, and away I go.  It's really nice on a breaking putts as I have always fought a tendency to under read break, then subconsciously push or pull putts.  The plate forces me to commit to a line and and make a committed stroke on that line.  I will say that the putter head gates and ball path gates have a different tension which I suppose is a good idea.  The putter head gates move much more easily, so the smallest touch rotates it out of the way.  The ball path gates do not give much, so misses go way off line.  Anyone around you will instantly know you hit a crap putt.  Plus, setting #4 on the ball path gates is tight.  It's about 1/32" clearance on each side.

 

I also like the thinner plate over a thicker mirror.  It has two reference arcs beside the ball so that you can center your eye line over the ball or slightly inside the ball.   Not a big deal as I have several putting mirrors, but the thinner plate is nice.

 

Supposedly the removable guide piece can be used as a quick stimp meter.  I haven't tried that function but it might be handy on occasion if it works.  

 

I've been using it quite a bit and I'm pretty happy with it.

I use it indoors on a birdie ball. Tee’s outside work great, but this works great indoors.
