If he drops an 80 tomorrow, my guess is the interest level wont be terrible high for Sundays round.

I was a little disappointed the main coverage barely showed him this morning - you brought this guy back and couldn't put him on the main feed?

The object was to get people to sample LIV Golf and hopefully, you say to yourself "Hey this ain't so bad"........

Sorta like a dealer that gives you a sample then you're hooked. I Kid, I Kid.🤣

Funny part is this....when LIV shuts down in the coming months/year, the players who got "signing bonuses" that are paid in installments, won't get the majority of the money they were promised. What are they going to do, sue the royal families in a court that doesn't exist with a rule of law that isn't real?

To those that say "the PGA tour is bleeding players," people that watch the tour appreciate the battle coming up 18 to win on Sunday, doesn't matter who it is. Viewership has proven people want to see two "nobodys" battling it out to win a tournament, versus Jon Rahm and Bubba Watson knocking it around for guaranteed millions.

how much you want to bet that the number of months exceeds 36 ;}

Most of the heavy hitters are up near the top.  Phil looked great, -5 with a double.  Rahm with a sneaky -8, he didn’t seem like he was playing “that good”.  Course looks great but plays on the easier side.  Rough start for AK but it was expected.  He’s exempt for the rest of the season so hopefully we get see improvements throughout the year.

Not to get to deep into this, but what do you exactly think a lawyer/agent is going to do when the royal family in another country tells you they're not going to pay you? Are you familiar with the court system there and how they deal with lawsuits? I'll wait.

he's implying that the lawyers/agents had that in mind from the onset and thus negotiated big signing bonuses

I don't doubt that. However, the numbers being reported stars are getting AND the amount they're actually going to get paid when this goes south are different...was my point 😃

phil, dj, koepka, and bdc will probably see the end of their respective contracts in 2025 or 2026

cam and rahm probably wont in 2027

Not true.  Genesis had top players, even Tiger who moves the needle but thinking that ship has saild too and it was not good.

"It is worth noting that the opening round of the Genesis Invitational, which included both Tiger Woods and Jordan Speith, did not perform well either in terms of television ratings. They received just 450,000 viewers a significant decrease of about 51% from 2023"

The last two events: Mexico Open down 15% in rating / 13% in viewership.  Genisis Open made up some ground but even Sunday when the PGAT normally gets most it views was still down 5% from last year.

99% of lawyers and agents give the other 1% a bad name.

Doesn’t really matter. If a player got paid in installments and signed a $20 million 2 year deal and if LIV does fold after this year, they still walk away from with $10 million more. Chances are they’ll get to either just waltz on back to the pga tour or at worst have to pay some fine/minimal suspension

Little off topic by why is Webb against 156 fields and wants 144? Seems like letting more people play on the PGA would fix some issues....

This time of year it’s a daylight issue at some venues.

The tournament is in Saudi Arabia.

lol...After living in "The States" for 9 years, this was normal sh!t. The laughters. Memories.

Then you have the real "in the know" who think LIV will fold in months, possibly a year..LMAO...the things that a human mind creates.

Anyhows, back to the single malt. Cheers.
