Arguably the most sought after shaft in the world right now, the 2024 Fujikura Ventus blue 6X.  Destroyed by carelessness.  Thanks UPS!! 👏🏼   Also, the shipping box was WAY too flimsy but I won't out the company that sold it to me for that because they are trying very hard to make this right and get me another one (without the current backorder wait).  I ordered mine about two months ago and they shipped on Feb 29. Now Ventus blue 6X is on backorder until the end of April! ...at least 😫

That's a shame.  It might be the first + Ventus that we have seen broken.  How sure are you that it broke during transit?  Obvious crushing damage to the box?

The picture would seem to indicate that.  Putting a golf shaft in a

“too large” box is asking for a problem.  
 

Last shaft I received came packaged much more securely, with a sturdy mailing tube inside protecting the shaft in a smaller box to eliminate it rattling around and resist bending.

I'd think a new Ventus would be well protected for transit.  His wasn't and it makes me wonder why not?  But, that's just the way my mind works.

I wondered the same thing for sure! That was pretty much where my conversation with the retailer started.

My mind works like that too. 😉  

I’ve received a few similar poor packing jobs from eBay , most recently a set of irons elastic banded together, no packing , in a too large box, 9 iron shaft broken at the hosel.  Good thing I didn’t need the shafts.
 

Most EBay shippers I’ve received pack things well.   I’ve had some from Global golf and 2nd swing that were similar “inadequate” packing, but nothing broken.  

Always good packing and box from places like CPO, Scotty and Golfworks.  
 

Not sure why some vendors can’t “figure it out”.

Not a huge issue, it was going to snap anyway. At least it snapped in shipping and not when hitting your shoulder! [yes this is an esoteric WRX inside joke from the tech forums]

JB Weld to the rescue! Cut the top off a tee, shove it down the center, done. Use a plastic tee so it doesn't affect flex.

I've had 2 shafts snap on me in transit recently. First time it came just destroyed, 

 

 

Got a replacement, got a tip installed had it shipped back to me pulled it out of the box, when to go give it a "waggle test" and it just drooped in my hands, honestly glad it did then vs in a swing. Box looks like it fell and hit the handle end on the ground. 

 

No more of that shaft lol.
