It's part of their deal. They can't advertise the some of the details on the site. They always respond to me within a day with a quote.

They aren’t a normal online golf retailer, they are a golf course located in Oregon.  They make sales out of their pro shop.

They take the order (want to make sure the order is 100% correct).  They take the payment. They submit the order.  They receive the order to make sure it’s made according to specs. They ship the order to customer.

Not just in oregon, they're a tiny shop coast 90 mins from portland

I just email them with what I want and most of the time I get a response same day. If not same day then always the next day. If it’s the price you are willing to pay just fill out the secure order form and that’s it.

Nothing has changed it’s always been that way. I think I’ve made 4 or 5 orders in the last couple months. Still the best way to go.

Not only that the actual shop is small maybe 1500 sq ft tops. They are located on the Oregon coast.

When I've ordered, they don't actually charge my credit card until the item ships.  I ordered the buy 3 get 4 dozen Prov1s from them last week and got the balls in under a week.  They've always treated me great.

Prices (when allowed by manufacturers) are so low they’re below MAP. Also no tax, free shipping, and great customer service

My first order with them was 10

DD has been my primary go-to golf retailer for 20+ years and I second all the glowing praise that has already been stated by others.  These guys are the best.  For the first few years, I would call them up for quotes, but ever since it has always been email.  Actually, it wasn't until a few years ago that I realized that they had an online website, but completely understand why it is bare bones with no prices.

I've heard many good things about DD's. However, given their size I'm curious to know how they can offer lower prices than other retailers, especially when many manufacturers set strict pricing.

 

Note, I'm not having a dig, I'm just curious how it works from a competition perspective.

I've bought clubs from them numerous times. Always easy and good pricing. Curious if anyone has bought a bag or shoes from them before. Do they have good deals for those also?

Greatest online retailer there is. They've never advertised prices.  First item I ordered was one of the old Cleveland Classics with a custom shaft, had to be close to 15 years ago.  Process never changed from then until the last set of clubs I just ordered.  It's all part of their business model which really works in your favor.  Not sure what the point of the OP was.  Seems like a competitor with an axe to grind or something.  Discount Dan's is and always has been great. Call them for an instant quote.  Submit the form for a quote within a day in most cases.  Ordering process is smooth and prices can't be beat for the regular Joe like me.  Orders ship directly from OEM and typically arrive quicker than when I order directly from the OEM.  I have never had a a single problem with specs on my custom orders.  I order everything from them unless I'm trading old equipment in on one of the 150% deals by the OEMs.  Highly highly recommend.

Retailers can decrease their margins with lower pricing however they choose, provided they don't advertise those discounts...  

 

Although you're unlikely to negotiate a better deal from a larger big box store, you can have success negotiating prices with club fitters.  The process with DD is pretty much the same in theory, although DD takes the "haggle" out of the transaction for you.  Seamless and greatly appreciated as a regular Joe looking for the best deals.  

 

If orders shipped from DD, I might be a bit weary on what I'm receiving, but everything comes to you directly from the OEM.  I'm not sure how anyone could ever have a bad thing to say about this company unless they're competing with them in some way.
