Bettinardi CB24 & MB24 Irons! In-Hand Photos!

I keep look looking at these wondering how a club can look so good and bad at the same time.

Definitely a little offset in both irons, but nothing too crazy to my eye. Here are the Bettinardi irons on a different background that might show the offset better.

I really like the look of the cavity of the CB.   I am struggling with the offset.

The sad thing is in an magazine article, Bettinardi specifically mentioned getting the offset right. I'll admit to vomiting a smidge in my mouth when I saw how the CB's looked at address.

So sad because the CB's are right up my boy's alley.

T-150's look money at address.

That little bit of offset caused vomit? The 130mph swingers in this forum could use a little offset even though they won’t admit it.

My boy is 16 and at a full time golf academy. The clubs would have been for him. Here's a basic stat (one of many) they measure. What should I be admitting?

Obviously very high quality and finish but just don't appeal to me at all looking down on the ball and that is everything to me thats why nothing can touch the new Wilson Staff Model mb irons this year, until maybe Titleist get their act together and release their long awaited new mb and cb irons.

I am just a mere mortal at 110 tops. Any presentation of offset and in my mind it is going left.  I can tolerate a 4 iron with some offset because long irons tend to want to fade.

These irons look really good. Classic looks but sneaky high tech with ceramic and tungsten in every head, adjusted for each one. I have seen tungsten (and ceramic less so) but have not seen them both used through the full set before. Should be a nice boost to the MOI.

Fred Couples seems to love how it makes them play. Offset looks just right. Can’t play long irons without some offset so happy to see the smart design here. They remind me of the og TaylorMade 770 but the Bettinardis look more refined and have more tech. The original 770 had tungsten only and only in the long irons.

I can help with this. It's because from a bag appeal perspective they're a great looking iron. And then from the playing perspective they look a lot like this to me...

Hope this helps. 🙂

It almost looks like they have an ascending offset profile. Like the short irons have more offset than the long irons. Or even it's almost equal offset throughout the set.

I have no idea what the actual measured offset is.  I just know that some iron designs hide it with a clean transition.  Unfortunately, these are not it.  I would have to see these in person to decide whether or not it's too much for me.  It is something I could probably get over if they felt and performed amazing.  I am not opposed to blind buy and try attempts.  But, these would not be on the radar at all.

So you’re saying that since Couples plays a Bettinardi putter that he is only saying he likes the irons for that reason and he is not telling the truth? And you know for a fact that he was paid for this video content? Any evidence you can offer?

I really really want to like the CB's but just from the pictures shown I don't think I could take the offset.  I'm no offset snob but too much is just too much.  Also if I were to get a set of CB's I'd bend them a degree strong which would add even more offset. Maybe in hand they look better but until I see better pictures with proper address angles it just seems there's more offset than there should be.  I don't know, some companies do hosel transitions better than others and to me these look like Callaway hosels which always seem to present a more offset look.

This is golfwrx, not the second circuit court of appeals. People don't need to offer evidence!😅

Noone is casting aspersions on Couples or suggesting the brand is doing something underhanded. Just that maybe he knows which side of the bread the butter goes.

We get it that you like the clubs.

Actually I have not seen the clubs. Don’t know if I’d like them. Not even about that.

And yeah, I get it’s a forum but sorry, I just found the comments over the line.

First I read that the defenders of the offset must either work for Bob Bettinardi or know Bob Bettinardi.

Then the same person says Fred Couples liking the irons is just him saying what he’s paid to say.

If you watch the video it sure looks like a guy just hitting some irons and talking about them. Looks like a range session. I’d guess they asked him to hit them and did not dictate his opinion to him or script it. If he did not like the irons they would not have put the video on their site but I think he’s giving his honest opinion.

My comments were “over the line”?! The guy is a Bettinardi sponsored athlete/golfer. Appearing in social media content for BETTINARDI. Do the math 😂 Does that mean I’m saying he hated, didn’t like the clubs and is lying? Absolutely not.
Let’s put it this way. It’s kinda like why reviews online that say “sponsored”, don’t hold a lot of water for me.

Honestly feel kinda stupid for wasting the 1.5 minutes to make this response. Have a good one dmeeks.

I am the biggest Freddie fan but even I can see what is being said here. Freddie is probably not lying but in no way is he going to say anything negative about the irons. It's a big leap for Bettinardi to start making irons and their sponsored athlete is not going to s*** on their first attempt. I'm sure the irons are amazing. I am looking at them myself. But I think you are taking this a little over the top. No one is attacking Freddie here
