Swing speed police

Ok so I might be a weirdo…
I was doing my Stack speed training for golf in the back alley last night. Next thing I know the cops show up.

“Sir would you mind putting the stick down” 😂😂😂
Someone called them saying there was some dude in the back alley swinging a club and yelling.
I might yell insults at myself for motivation. 
Needless to say, I’m not in jail. 😂😂😂

My wife was training at the gym last week and saw a guy in the basketball court using speed sticks or similar and grunting and all that.

 

She said "It bothered me way more than it should have. It was like all my frustration with your golf obsession had been made into a person that I could hate without guilt." 

 

I was like "Bright side baby...as crazy as I am, I'm not THAT guy!"

This is hilarious.  My wife has gone in the garage a few times during my speed training sessions to "see if I'm ok?"

I expected a link to the guys who do those "Catching People Lying About Their Carry" videos.  This was better.  It reminds me of a time many years ago my friend and I had been drinking heavily for a few hours and decided to go bowling.  The alley was about a mile down the street and when we were (smartly) leaving to walk there, my friend suggested we bring the basketball for something to do on the way.  About 15 minutes later a cop sees to hammered guys running down the street, playing shadow basketball with no hoop in sight and pulls us over like:

 

"Where are you boys headed?"

"The bowling alley"

"The one that's been closed for hours?

"Well, obviously we didn't know that - but probably"

"Have you been drinking?"

"Yes - that's why we chose to walk to the bowling alley"

"..."

 

Guess it's better that they check out the weirdos rather than letting them run rampant.  🙂

I have seriously considered doing my speed training at my gym in an empty workout room that's usually available.  Hear me out, I have found over the last year that my speed training is most effective when done before my lifts and when my body is rested.  However, due to my schedule I have to lift in the mornings so it really limits my ability to find time to do speed training where I'm not a bit fatigued from the gym.  I haven't done it... yet.  If I could figure out a way to carry the sticks in the front door without people staring I would probably try it.  LOL  Need some sort of a soft case or something with a strap!

I have a set of Speed Stix at the gym I train my clients out of which is on the property of my business partner which I use.  I let my clients who golf use it as well.  If I'm training at the local 24 hour fitness, I grab a 2 lbs dumb bell and a PVC pipe and use those for speed training.  I can usually get away with swinging those in a corner but will sometimes go into the cycling room when it's empty.  No grunting involved though.

Maybe a pool cue case? Or Amazon has small bags for carrying 3 clubs or so to the range so you don’t have to take your whole bag.
