Man that was tough yesterday. I was pulling for him all weekend. He is a lot of fun to watch. I really enjoy some

of his YouTube content with Grant and the Bryan brothers. I think this particular video is great.

I always put him in with Zalatoris.  If you're putting with a goofy putter and strange grip when you're that young, you better make your money fast because it certainly doesn't get easier with age.

I’d also add, like Zalatoris, if you’re that thin with a swing like that, win quick cause your back isn’t gonna hold up for long .

Generating that kind of speed for a little guy is going to have consequences.

His swing looked off most of the day, yet he stayed in contention.  The real question people should ask is...

 

Will Cam Young ever win?  He has all the talent in the world yet his final round scoring is 144 out of 170.  I would love to see him work with a better mental coach and see how high he can soar.  

 

Ashkay has won already and every player is prone to a mediocre round where they fall JUST short.  Cam has done this regularly and I think someone on his team needs to man-up and get him to remedy this.

Yesterday wasn't just an Ashkay problem.  The last 30-45 minutes of that event had some awful golf from lots of players.  Sometimes you get C-rate golf when the event is a C-rate event.  So many missed fairways, missed greens, and 15-20' birdie putts ending up 4' short.  It was just mediocre golf being played in general.  Sometimes that happens.

 

FWIW, it felt like the entire weekend of golf was that way.  Siem almost threw it away in Italy.  Fujita blew a 3-shot lead this morning and lost in a playoff after making multiple bogies.  Even the ladies DOW Pairs event was kind bleh.  The leaderboard had 3-5 pairs at the top with just a couple holes to go, and putts (and fairways and greens) were being missed left and right.
