Sun Mountain is bringing out a battery powered version of their 4-wheel push cart. It may be already available for sale. Here is a youtube video of it... http://www.youtube.c...player_embedded
Man, that sure looks alot like the cart I already own. When SM came out with their Micro Cart, I immediately saw the similarities to my Eagle Compac. It looks like the only difference is that mine has a remote. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/DRcJSayncUI&hl=en_US&fs=1"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/DRcJSayncUI&hl=en_US&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></object>

Some previous posts above I've said I used to carry only in short (par 3) courses... but i've switched to a taylormade corza bag and a pair of dryjoys (i fed up waiting that mizuno bag), and now i'm carrying my bag everywhere...

I think this also pushes me up to improve my game, because the "ugly" part of carrying your own bag, it's not carrying it per sè, it's just the situation to put it on and off for only a few yards (10 to 30) because of fat shots; but helps a lot making me focused on my game, not making me be hurry to walk like being chasing my ball, and also as an exercise... I feel more solid my legs feet and shoulders, after only a few rounds, and I feel I'm doing better legwork during my swing.

But I also know it's a must for carrying your bag to wear really comfortable shoes... those that really fits like a glove. I have a pair of pumas that seems i'm walking over clouds, but they turns wet really, really easy, so wearing them in a early round in a winter morning here in Buenos Aires is a really bad decision, and my other pair of hi-tecs are really waterprood but hard as a rock being a real pain to wear them for 18 using a pushcart,... and now i'm wearing my dryjoys, and it's a joy to walk with my bag over my shoulders and my feet warmy and dry..

So, maybe it's a question about checking your gear and if it really helps you carrying your stuff... At first maybe seems to be a bit harder... but it worths every cent you invest in your equipment and every sweat drop in the first rounds... It pushes your golfing experience to another level.

And also, it's great buying golf stuff first using the money i used to pay my psycologist... and now, feels much better financing golf with the money i used to pay regimes and stupid diets!!!

I use a 3 wheel BagBoy cart. I've heard too many stories about people having back surgeries with the reason being carrying a golf bag. I'll save my back...

Save your spine. You only get one...

Push or Pull.

Carrying is not recommended. Disc compression being one significant reason.

Riding is not recommended. Exercise is good. Bouncing around in a golf cart seat is not.
Not true, compressing forces is what a disc is designed to absorb. Twisting combined with bending on the other hand.....

I would rather walk when I play. But having had back issues since I was 18, carrying a bag around isn't an option. I have a Bag Boy LT-450 two-wheeler and the bag is a Sun Mountain Front Nine. Carries everything I need and saves the wear and tear on my bod. With this cart, I can push or pull. Seems if I ride a cart my back hurts more than when I walk.

I just bought a Sun Mountain Micro Cart after looking at them for half a season and pondering. I normally walk everywhere I go, carrying 14 clubs in a Titleist sunday bag. I have an Ogio stand bag which I gave up using because I just didn't need that much weight/space. I must say walking with the stand bag in the Micro Cart is a great new experience. I shot my lowest 9 holes (two under par) the first time pushing the cart. (Let's not mention what happened on the back nine, though)...

It will be great in the rainy season, when my clubs will stay dry under the umbrella holder, and I don't have to haul my rain gear around on my back!

I carry. The straps on my bag (NikeSasquatch Tour) are dialed in just right, so it is extremely comfortable. But I do make sure to pare down any dead weight before I head out! I don't know how much money I actually save walking, considering that I need to buy better shoes, and buy them more often.

You know in Europe and the UK, golfers use trolley's (pull carts) quite extensively. Played in Lisbon and everyone was using trolley's. Everyone could spot the rich people with their electric versions but using a Trolley was the accepted mode de' golf.

Apparently they also sport matching shirts, pants, and haircuts.

Notice how they've subtly rejected the popped collared, mismatched trousered, chubby guy on the left.

I used to carry my bags all the time, even with a bad back. This spring my hips were always hurting when i carried, so i bought a sun mt micro cart. Since im pushing, my back and hips dont hurt as much. Also seems like i can and want to play more holes after my round is done, since i have more energy from not carrying

I push using the Clicgear 3.0 cart. I use to carry, but now in mid-40s, just a bit too much on the hilly layouts that I play.

Me, my Ping 4 Under and a bottle of water...

If I'm playing in an event, then I take an Ogio Grom I got as a promotional item.

Clickgear 2.0 and TM San Marino bag. I used to carry, but I got more fatigued at the end of my rounds and had some shoulder and foot problems. Since I went to the cart, neither have bothered me.
I also play 27-36 more often because I'm not worn down.
