What are the best / top irons Ping has ever made?

Eye 2 was the innovator in perimeter weighted investment cast design

 

i5 was the best of the cavity-badge-weight models IMO

 

i20 was the first/best of the more modern ferruled hotter face designs.

Didn't read the whole thread so I'm sure it's been said before but:

 

Eye2

i3 and i5

G25

GMax

S55

Eye 2 needs no explanation but EVERYONE had or wanted a set of the i3s when they came out and the i5 had play for years. The G25 is considered one of the best GI irons made because of its narrow sole and reduced offset with ball speed. The G Max was one of the most forgiving (if not most forgiving) ones Ping made and is icon in high handicap bags the world over. The S55 seems to get a lot of love here and I know 2 people who have them and won't part with them. The i25 was played by a lot of Ping pros forever and still seems some brand agnostic play by Cink, Fitzpatrick, and I'm sure Westwood would still have them in play if Ping didn't finally put their foot down and say upgrade or else. Maybe.

For me it was the I20's, just great irons. I can't believe I sold them, I'm such a d*****s.

I still play with my beryllium copper eye 2's....

however the 1 iron has since been retired....

Used my ISI's for 22 years.  Playing with them today just for a change of pace.
