My Reply:
I am not taking a shot at Acushnet here, I am not saying that the company is going away, in total sales volume they are clearly #2 right now. Balls, shoes & gloves (FJ), Wedges (BV), and putters (Cameron) will keep them relevant but they have no growth and some shrinking in sales and market share. Their irons, drivers, fairways and utilities are not doing as well. Callaway and Nike (much smaller than Cally) are growing both are taking direct aim on what is in front of them. Ping is okay in their world and still trying to grow. Adams is growing. Cleveland-Srixon has gained on the ball front and lost on the club front. Mizuno is thought to be holding somewhat steady and they rely on worldwide business. Two years ago the thought in the industry was that Callaway was in trouble despite being clearly #3. But with the new upper mgmt well in place and active plus spending bigger money in new endorsement and development they are on the move. In two years they have gone from becoming a major fail to now being considered to be almost a sure bet to pass Acushnet by '14 year end or early '15. They still won't approach number 1 way too far away and #1 isn't laying down, they are upping the ante themselves and the new TP stuff will threaten to further erode the Titleist core club business (they already sell more of similar type equipment) nad its market share. The new '14 Titleist club adjustments is already not news. Their new club sales are coming from customers that they already have. That is a shrinking group. They need to attract new customers and they are not doing anything new to attract them. It is like Oldsmobile. It wan't that long ago that it was a major brand but it did nothing to attract new customers and their customer base dwindled. But because of the other parts of their business they may fall to #3 soon. And the other companies are shooting at those other parts. Adidas is clearly taking on FootJoy and some analysts think they could surpass them in a 3-4 years (TMAG is predicting by 2015, I think that is over optimistic personally). My point is that Acushnet need to find some new business. It would be interesting to see them become more aggressive, although the other major OEMs are enjoying the current stagnant situation.

I was looking forward to the mc's, wanted the tp badge but got past it. I then just found the tp line is cast for mc, which pretty much seals it up for me that I wont be getting them. I already have rocketbladez tour, these will be no different if they are cast. MB's look to be the only good ones

Me personally, the TP badge was a deal breaker for me. Took the iron from "must own" to "maybe when they're on BST for cheap". TaylorMade clearly needs no stinking badges, though. (I can't believe no one has posted this in here yet. Laugh a little)

I remember when the rocketbladez tour came out and TM explained on this site during the company chat that they couldnt use forged and still create a slotted club, was interested in what they were going to do with this mc considering I thought it would be forged for sure.

I have the rocketbladez tour and they are fine clubs simply because of the size and lines. If there were no slot on them, 100% for me there would be no difference in the way they play, feel might be a little different but thats about it. If they are going to make everything cast that has a slot, I say get rid of the slot in atleast the tp line

I'm very excited that they came back with a forged iron. I loved the last version of mb/mc even though I didn't put them in the bag. I'm a little disappointed that the forgings don't go all the way through the mc like the last version but I would have no idea how they would incorporate the slot with a forged club. Maybe they should have checked out the xtreme spin wedges from Tour Edge because they have a polymer behind the face to enhance the feel in a forged wedge.
