Baffler F6 that good?

Norboo

Recommended Posts

I was going over reviews after reviews and it looks like Baffler is a winner. I need something that goes about 215 to 225 and this seems to be the one, I see they have it on sale for $149 on many site. I would appreciate real life reviews from WRXers.

Β

I tried many clubs and most recent, tested M2 (2016) 5HL on the course, but hated the feel and the sound.

I'm enjoying mine. Its easy to hit and very controllable. I have a UST VTS Silver in it, which is a nice combo.

Β

The head is a great shape and I think the rails do help with difficult lies. I've struggled with gaps in this area of my bag, so the range of adjustability the club offers is a major plus.

Β

I will say, it does launch high, so I have the heavy weight forward to help with that.

You can use it from a WIDE array of lies, yardages, shot shapes - So yes, it is that good.

I made mistakes of getting rid of clubs I wished I would not have. Lesson learned, this is the one club that I don't ever plan to get rid of. It is simply money from any lie!

much smaller head shape than the M2, while it was easy to hit i went with the F7 cause it's size gives me little more confidence. I don't know how F6 is 147cc and F7 is 150cc though the F7 looks much bigger.

Which F7 did you get? is the distance about the same?

To my eyes, M2 was too big.

Thanks for your feedback.

Β

no problem i was in the exact same boat looking for something around 210-220 yardage that i can hit off the deck.

Β

I tried the 2016 M1, F6 baffler, and F7 (M2 was too big as well). I settled on the F7 with hzrdus red.

Β

The perfect club would of been headshape size between the F6 and F7. Maybe the club ho in me will grab a F6 head when i'm in mid season form lol.

Yep 5/6 fairway cut down to 42" (cobra stock length on the F7 are long),

Β

i would probably get the M2 for a 3 wood however as i use it more off the tee (currently using vapor fly).

I'm a mortal by golfwrx standards but I use it as a gap between the 3 wood and hybrid which in that 200-220 range. I got it last fall with the at the time free upgrade elements chrome plus as I wasn't a huge fan of the red tie when I tried the shaft in my driver. Also went with the heavier weight and I really like the club a lot. I was intimidated by the size at first but it is to me like hitting a hybrid with more support.

I will kick a 3 wood , driver , or putter out In a second. The f6 baffler and the f6 utility are the best clubs I've picked Up for those two spots ever ! And I've had each in he bag for several months now. They are so easy to hit and so consistent. Wish cobra made a strong 3 version of the f6 baffler.

Wish the F6 hybrid was Baffler-style like the F7... I like the idea and would consider it for both hybrid and fairway, just need to wait for the price on the F7 hybrid to come down a bit I guess.

Was so disappointed that Cobra did not offer this in left hand last year. I think they would have sold a ton of them if they did. At least this year they put rails on all the fairways & hybrids.

Just received my Baffler F6 and it looks great. I like the fact it doesn't sit closed and size of the head is perfect! I can't wait to test it out.

Is the F7 worth the extra $$$?

No, I hit them when they came out and I like the F6 significantly more personally. To the point where if I had to buy another 5W at the end of the year I would still get the F6 regardless.

Anyone done direct comparison with Epic 5w? I'm getting along well with the Epic, but have had my eye on this for awhile too and will probably be putting an F6 driver in the backup bag... my OCD tends to keep things matching.

I have not owned an epic 5 wood but i did demo one on grass ... there is no comparison for ease of use off the deck.. the F6 baffler IS the preset day TM V-steel..... no question ... if cobra had made a 3 wood version i would own it too and make room in my bag for it ... I could hit it out of a creek bed its that easy to hit ... Its hot off the face too and has a great shape that sits open to my eye at address
