Another debate-Piggy Backing off Live From- Phil or Tiger?

Actually a debate that has some merit to it...BIGGER win this week....Phil or Tiger?

 

What say you boys?! I would say Tiger would be the bigger story/win, simply because he hasn't been healthy and Phil at least has been playing a lot more competitive golf over the past 2 years when Tiger was barely able move around.

On the other hand, how often does a golfer capture the career grand slam? I think from a historical standpoint, a victory this week from Phil would trump a victory from Tiger. It's close, though.

Well stated. Either would be monumental in its own way.

 

If Phil wins, insane, NYC will go nuts.

 

If TW wins, well, that would be like the moon landing!

 

But, alas, its going to be a young man with clean arteries, steady hands, and far less scar tissue, who wins this.

Tiger winning would be the much bigger story on Sunday night. It would most likely be the top story of the news as well as sports.

 

Phil's would be big too and be the lead story on Sportscenter. Completing a career slam might be even bigger historically than Tiger's 15th.

I agree though, in the golf world it would be bigger for Phil, getting career grand slam after so many runner ups and winning at 48.

 

To the rest of the world it would probably be bigger for Tiger since he is so much more well known its been 10 years and so on.

Not sure about the golf channel but I hope for Fox’s sake Tiger makes the cut. They need the ratings and advert dollars. Sexual misconduct settlements aren’t cheap.
