Not sure. I would lean towards all non structured bags cause some club tangle.

I just recently got my rover and I love it so far. I've carried 10 clubs thus far with no tangle issues and I think it could do all 14 if I wanted. There's enough room to pack what I need for a round (and it really made me think about what I actually need in my bag). I've been carrying it single strap so far, but I will admit to being puzzled by the second strap. I would love to see a video of someone setting up and adjusting it for 2 strap carry.

I was initially worried about laying it on the ground vs. having a stand, but I don't find it any more difficult to pick up compared to my stand bag. I just had to get used to replacing my club after I pick it up instead of before as with my old stand bag. I also realized there is some effort in managing a stand bag (making sure the legs deploy on uneven ground, keeping my towel from getting tangled in the legs) that I don't worry about anymore, so in that sense, the effort is kind of a wash.

My only con thus far is that I don't love the beverage pocket placement. I don't find it easy to remove/replace a water bottle while carrying the bag, but maybe I just need to get used to it.

My wedges fit fine. I put my putter (34") in the upper divider and it sits pretty low, but my wedges fit fine in the lower divider.

Hasn't been an issue for me. Wedges sit just fine as the spine is on the upper divider side and the lower iron side can sag a bit in case wedges are shorter. But as above the putter can tend to dip below the top at times.

I love my Utility but if this thing is really similar and lighter, I might have to snatch one up.

I have to ask though, with all the irons and wedges in the bottom, how bad really, is the club tangle? It seems like it would be a lot with that many clubs in the same place...

Now would be the time, not going to find a better price on bags of this quality. I just grabbed a players series as I have wanted to try one of the smaller bags with structure. I had the Original and it was great but I have been riding more and wanted something I could put on the cart as well as carry. But if you have been wanting to try a Jones bag, this is the time.

Having used mine for a little over half a season, I would definitely still give it a thumbs up. My original plan was to use this bag for twilight rounds carrying less than a full set, but I liked it so much it became my everyday bag. I only switched back to my stand bag once since getting this on a day when it was supposed to rain hard and I decided to use my pushcart. If I was sitting on the fence at all I'd jump at the chance to get one at Black Friday pricing.

I have the Stitch SL1 and just ordered the Utility Rover so will report back. Love the Stitch (other than the strap - replaced that with a Jones) but excited to try out the Jones after seeing one at Sweetens. I think the Stitch is perfect for summer dewsweeping morning rounds and the Jones will be for afternoon/evenings. Don't think I'll go dual strap tho, have been liking the single strap

I had mine on a cart for the first time this weekend. It did sit and strap down fine, but the club tangle was a bit aggravating at times. I've never had that issue when walking, but for some reason it was bad when the bag was sitting on a cart. I only ride once or twice a year, so no big deal for me. Other than that, i've enjoyed carrying mine more than my Stitch SL1.

Mine won't fit on my Clicgear pushcart because it's too small. I suppose I could rig something up myself if I had to, but I'd just swap bags instead. I haven't tried it on a power cart yet. I live in Canada, too, but I'm lucky enough to live near the border so I had it shipped to a US shipping address and drove down to get it. The outrageous pricing to ship to Canada is really a shame because it does negate an otherwise great deal.

Apparently they are coming bag in the near future. Maybe being refreshed, I don’t know. I have one and it’s a good bag. A lot of pockets of you need them. I keep my bags stuffed with just the bare essentials but it is nice to have more storage if I need to load up on a few snacks for a longer day.

I took the second strap off as it doesn’t balance well when dual strapping.

To follow up - I played 7 rounds on a Pinehurst trip with the Rover without any issues. Our group ended up with cart golf on #8 and as suggested before, the bag works fine for an occasional cart round. Really no complaints at all and perfect for the carrying walking golfer.

Functional without pandering to nostalgia. My only complaint is that the zipper pocket on the bottom left and top tight are superfluous. The large vinyl pocket at the back and the insulated pocket in Front are great.

7AF2YH9RR2ZJ.jpegNice bag but I feel this original one ( I lived in Portland and just drove over to Jones to buy bags and say hi) was not recognized or purchased, by as many of us as it takes to build hundreds of them, on a production run, to sell. Most of the comments I heard were, “ if it only it had legs!” umm. That’s the point. No legs. Now that it’s not available there is a demand? I know Matt and crew are shaking their heads...Aren’t we all just fickle ??

Glad they are bringing this one back. The Original and Players are great but it's nice to have some modern features.

The all black leather version of the Utility Rover is pretty BA looking.

I have the gray black and blue version, original Utility Rover, and it really does serve well as bag.
