Ping Zing irons

Well, I had a ping zing sand wedge in the closet. I decided to break it out , and use it last saturday.....wow! i loved it..it was so easy to get the ball up and down on green...i dont know if its the head design?? So I started looking at iron sets on ebay. Curious if the whole set would be the same....havent pulled the trigger...just some thoughts from those who played them?

I think Payne carried a Zing lob wedge, so there’s definitely something to it.

I have a set of zing beryllium coppers....brand new still with Stickers from the Ping factory. Love my pings :)

I actually just won the "L" zing wedge on ebay because I have the Sand Wedge, but they say the loft of sand wedge is only 54 degree, the L wedge will be 57, again so it says...

The sand and lob wedges had a certain lasting appeal. They weren't my bag baby.

Beautiful! I just bought another set of becu Ping Eye 2’s and have also had a set of becu ISI’s but have never had any Zing’s, becu or stainless. Now I want a set after seeing yours!

My dad has been playing Ping Zings since 1995, 1-SW. He's never had reason to switch. I've hit them a couple of times and they certainly aren't bad, but the head shape is a little too out of the box for me.

I played them from 94 -2007 with Tour Flighted Rifle 6.5's, so weird looking now.

Currently have no plans to sell...but....I like my BeCu sets but can only keep so many. Selling a set of eye 2’s BeCe 1-lw (12 irons) now. I have multiple sets of copper eye 2’s so just thinning the herd a bit. My other copper eye 2’s are more close specs wise to what I need (I’m short and have others with flatter lies). Yes You can bend them but prefer not to.

for now the zings are staying minty indoors :)

....isi nickel, zing becu, eye 2 becu. All sets are brand new.

I have 3 other sets of eye 2 becu’s and one In stainless. Had another isi nickel but sold them. Have a lot of Eye, eye 2, zing, zing 2, and isi wedges also.

Just sold my BeCu S and L wedges the other day. Used them for years. Had to buy a set of TM Hi Toes to replace them. First thing that looked ‘normal’ to me after gaming those Pings so long

I gave my Zings to my son when I purchased the ISI irons. He still plays them and I still play my ISI’s.

The eye 2 becu set I’m currently selling is red. Most sets I own have flatter Lies with the exception of the isi nickels. They were new when I bought them so I didn’t have a choice on the low. They are green. You can change the lies on all pings but ping will not bend them. You need to have someone else change the lies

I still use my Zing sand and lob wedges. I had the sand bent to 54 and the lob bent to 59, works well for me.

I have a partial set if ur interested think it's like 5,6,7,9,PW maybe? Just missing the 8. Not into it for a lot so will part for a decent price

Not entirely sure, the shaft bands arent 100%, how would I tell? Is it noted on them?

The designation is usually found on the shaft bands but you might also be able to find it on the silk screen near the hosel.

Only thing I see near hosel is the serial number, that has a K after it if that means anything
