Best Golf Ball of the Last 5-6 Years

I know every golf ball is different for each person, but I am wondering what constants have performed well for people.

 

If I had to rate them........

 

1. 2013-2014 Bridgestone B330, they were a four piece ball. I played them and was immediately in love. I think I remember someone here pointing out they are 4 piece and have some weird core type/name.

2. TP5x - This ball is no joke. I have heard many industry folks talking about how TM has finally truly figured out the golf ball. The people do not give praise lightly.

3. TM Lethal - Other than the absolutely stupid name this golf ball was great, it was (I believe) a 4 piece ball that was extremely stable in the wind.

3. Tie....Snell MTB. I have found the Snell to play exactly like the Lethal, and in between last years TP and TPx from TM.

 

So how far off am I from what you like/liked? What were your favorites?

I thought the 2014 B330 was fantastic also, but I like a little more spin around the green. Hydrocore for the win.

My favorite is the Srixon Z-Star. Titleist Pro V1/X are good but I'm not paying $40+ for balls. Hate Chrome soft.

I love the lethal and they have been easy to get in the 50 or 100 pack on TM website. I played with the new TP5x and love it. Still will play the lethal quite a bit because of the affordability. I hope TM keeps selling them online. Both balls are a great fit for me and on launch monitor I have the best stats with lethal compared to proV1x, B330, etc. My swing speed with driver is about 115. I am looking forward to trying the TP5x on the launch monitor, but playing with it, it seems really similar to the lethal, just a bit longer for me.

My favourite was the Srixon Z-StarSL, played 2 seasons with it until they discontinued it. Did everything I needed and did it well. Second is the Duo U; it lacked off the tee for me but man does it spin.

I cant honestly remember how old these are now but the Taylormade TP Black LDP balls are easily my favorite golf ball of all time.

TP5X for me has been a revelation. It excels in all areas. The previously mentioned FG Tour certainly one of the most underrated balls of the last 5-6 years.

I still have 2 dozen of the 2014 Bridgestones. My favorite ball by far. Try to save those for when I'm playing my better golf.

This! 2016 RZN Tour Platinum 1a, and the 2016 B330s 1b...both amazing for feel, traj for my swing, and reaction on the greens. I love both of these balls!

For those of you talking about the 2014 b330s, is it really that much better than the current version? I just recently came around to b-stones and love the new b330s, but if the older one is that much better, I may have to get some.

 

Also- totally agree with the TPX, and to me the TP5X is just as good.

I am about to run out of my all time fave, the Nike OneTour D. I bought many dozens when they got disco'd. Played one round with the new TP5x and liked it.

 

Hate trying to found a new fave. Too many choices...
