I've been looking at that watch with a different color bezel (have a black sub already). Is that the 40 or 42mm?

Somewhat OT, but today I finally took an in-depth look at the apple watch --- other than being too thick for my taste, the design and options in looks is top notch. I recently took my first step into "nice" watches. The Mrs bought me one of a few remaining new Cartier Roadster XLs for our ten year anniversary. I had a buddy who wanted to sell his but she wanted me to have one NIB. I think it looks so classy and vintage, and when I heard they were discontinued I was a bit disappointed. Needless to say, I loved the surprise and love the watch!

This is the 40mm but to me wears a little closer to 42mm, it's definitely a high quality watch at a great price point.

Picked up a great Tag Carrera on Sunday that I've been eyeing for a year or so. I have a great Link Chronometer thats over 11 years old but this one really caught my eye last year.

Glad I finally pulled the trigger. Love the brown crocodile band too - doesnt come through too well in the pic though.

I typically prefer Apple products but I really think, after seeing the Moto 360, that Apple missed the boat on this one. I think the honeycomb app layout is atrocious on the Apple Watch. I think overall it looks really good (for a smart watch) but I think the Moto 360 looks better and is laid out a bit better. I want to reserve any further judgment/speculation until I actually hold one in hand and can play around with it.

I absolutely agree on the Eco Drive. I have one that I bought in 2007, and it has always been spot on with time and it just works. I wore it every day for several years and scratched the face to the point that it was hard to look at. I just recently sent it off and had a new crystal put in, and it looks just like it did the day I bought it. It's titanium, so it doesnt weight a ton either. I've had it in the ocean and in pools, and it still looks new.

When the face got so bad, I bought a Casio G-Shock that I actually like. I spent more on a Casio than I ever thought I would, but it too is a great watch. Takes a beating and keeps going.

If someone has more money than sense, a $10,000 watch may be nothing, but I can think of lots of things more important than a watch to spend $10k on.

In the late 1960's a Rolex Submariner 5513 could be purchased for about $200. It wasn't particularly hard to get, and to this day they aren't rare at all, but they are worth $7K, the rougher the condition the better.

My Rolex Sea-Dweller was about $4K new in 2006. It's now worth about $6K. It keeps time to within 2-3 seconds per day.

So tell me more about how they are overpriced and keep bad time?
