Anyone gaming an 3+ year old driver?

Acer XDS 2+ 12 degree driver I picked out of the used club bin at a range I worked for 12 years ago.

Don't need adjustability if you only hit it straight.

Well I'm just starting a trial over the winter with my old Ping G5. I've shortened it by an inch and I'm going to see if that helps my accuracy once I've added some weight to get the swingweight back up.

Yep, I20 (hardly ancient/outdated), and/but on the (albeit very rare) occasion that someone over span of 18 holes proved to be consistently longer and straighter that day, not once did I ever have motivation, cause, or envy to attribute it to their equipment at the end of the day.

I game a 910 Titleist D3 8.5 and I'm usually the longest. I rotate shafts between a GD DI 6x, GD BB 6x.
It must be me because both the GD's fly so high. Anyone have any shafts with this head that are proven low launchers?

Give me 3 days and I will. 913D3 in the bag and while it's not the longest or the hottest, it's the most consistent for me. Backup is a Cleveland Classic 290, and it's backup is from 2003.

If you have been properly fitted for a driver why on earth would you want to change it? Just for change's sake? That would be a BIG mistake.
Perhaps you have changed physically? Then get another professional fitting. Nothing more to be said..........

Haha same here but the Launcher Comp haha. Every time I go to buy something else the monitor's say it's too close to justify anything newer.

I likely am going to go for a R15 or newer though to take advantage of the prices and 10 years of technology! The Launcher will stay close though just in case!

Played a Rombax 7Z-08 in the 910D3 and loved it. Regret letting it go.

Amongst other drivers - I have a G10 too.

Whilst its a mighty fine weapon (Alot of people say better than those models before it, and the G15 and G20 after....?) i cant QUITE......REALLY love it.

I wouldn't let it go at this point - as little as its worth - and cant quite put my finger on why im not 110% into-it in a big way.

Its long enough, looks good enough and is plenty forgiving. It just doesnt have that 'something' that makes it really special to me.

But; as i say, its in the rotation and is going no-where. Great solid choice of driver.

Interesting you mentioned the Rombax. I got paired up with some guests a while back and one of them had a silver and blue Rombax installed in his 910 head in extra stiff. He said it came from the European Tour and had the nickname "The Eye Poker".

I let it go with everything I had and it was magic. I offered him cash there and then but he wouldn't budge and sell it!

I wonder if it was the model that you write of?
