On mine the DG Tour logo is seemless into the black finish, almost like it is one coat if that makes sense. It looks cool, but I like the regular silver better.

Yes - True Temper has offered a black chrome S400 to custom dealers and aftermarket for years. My guess is they just integrated the "Tour Issue S400" labels into the silkscreening and of course weight sorted them. Still awesome, just not really new except for the label.

Hey guys-

This is a different color than the previous black shafts we have done. They will be available through our PFC dealers starting July 1, this is the first batch of shafts we made in this color that we just finished up on Saturday in San Diego so we are just starting to build up inventory.

I believe the MSRP on these is the same as on the Chrome Tour Issue, but don't quote me on it. I'm just an engineer, they don't always keep us updated.

Great, thank you! The old "black chrome s400" was more of a chocolate brown. If this is more black, that's even better!

Our PFC dealers are great ambassadors for our brand and products so they get the privilege of exclusivity on some of our products.

This finish is only going to be available in wedges.

I have black DG400 in my wedges and they chip easily. Is the new finish more durable?

Actually what is done is the DG TI label is heat transferred on the shaft just like the chrome version and then the entire shaft is given a final top-coat treatment. It does give the heat transfer label more durability from scraping and abrasion.

Don, I just have to use this occasion to ask -- how old is the True Temper Dynamic Gold design? 40 years?

Without any question in my mind, it is the single most important, most successful product in the entire world of golf equipment of our lives. And quite possibly the most successful single product in the history of the game.

Total the number of rounds of golf played by pros and recreational players with DG shafts. Total the amount of inflation-adjusted Tour winnings with DG shafts. Total the number of major championships won with DG shafts. It is all incomparable. There's almost no second place.

No ball, no clubhead, no other product can compare.
